“Good, good. I’m sure his Grace will make sure she gets just that.” Robb held back some of his pleasure in knowing Alice was okay. He didn’t want to start a scandal by having people notice that he seemed to feel for the Queen just as the King did. The last thing they needed was the realm dividing or for people to call for Alice and Robb’s head, “In the name of his Grace, Steffon of the House Baratheon.” They would never understand that Steffon wanted it too.
“Yes there is,” Steffon murmured, not pulling his hand back like he wanted to. To be honest, he was nervous as hell. The thought of being a parent was bad enough. The thought of losing a third child in nearly just as many years…it made it even worse.
Kase raised an eyebrow at the young Lord’s quick turn around in attitude towards the Queen, just a few days prior he had be rather verbal about his extreme dislike toward Queen Alice. But the Maester ignored the feeling and smiled. If Lord Stark had a change of heart that was a good thing, especially given the Queen’s delicate condition. “Have a good evening Lord Stark.” He was more than ready to have his dinner and sleep after the excitement of the day.
Alice held Steffon ’ hand on her belly for a few moments long before releasing her hold and settling back against the pillows. This pregnancy she was going to do everything right. She was going to stay in their bed and rest, she couldn’t lose this one. She didn’t think she could survive the lose of a third child. And by the looks of it her husband wouldn’t either. “I’m sorry I worried you and Robb.”
Steffon shook his head, “You don’t need to apologize. You couldn’t help it.” He sat down on the edge of the bed and placed a kiss to Alice’s forehead. “We will wait to tell the small council and the rest of the realm about the baby until you are a few moons along. I imagine Robb already knows, but he won’t tell anyone else.”
As if on cue, there was a knock on the door and then Robb was stepping in. “Hey you two,” he smiled shutting the door and moving over to the bed slowly. “How do you feel, My Queen? Do you need anything?” he moved to stand beside Steffon, placing his hands to his broad shoulders.
Alice gave her husband a small smile. “Thank you.” She was glad he had agreed to holding off on sharing their news. The blonde closed her eyes only to open them again when Robb entered the room. “I’m just tired, Lord Stark. I just need to get some rest. I’m sorry for worrying you.” She apologized before reaching out to scratch Grey Wind behind the ears. “Sorry for worrying you too, Grey.” The large wolf just slowly wagged his tail bed gently nuzzling Steffon’s hand that was still on Alice’s belly.
Robb winced at being called Lord Stark. “You…I imagine that no one will think anything of it if you call me by my name, My Queen.” he murmured, watching Alice interact with Grey Wind.
“Yeah you big lug. She’s with child.” Steffon murmured, figuring it was alright to tell Robb. He would be able to figure it out the first chance he got to warg into Grey anyhow.
Alice sighed in relief. “I just didn’t want to get used to calling you that in private and have a slip up in public. But if you are okay with it and don’t believe it a problem.” Slowly she reached up and set her hand on top of Robb’s where it rested on Steffon’s shoulder.
“I thought we weren’t going to tell anyone yet.” Alice was a bit cross her husband had just let it slip that she was with child. “Robb please don’t tell anyone. We aren’t ready to share the news just yet…just in case….” Her green eyes shifted from her husband to the Northern King.
Grey’s tail thumped against the ground as he licked Steffon’s hand before moving to lay in the center of the room between the bed and the door.
“He would be able to tell tonight when he warged into Grey, Ally, come on. Grey Wind knows already…he has probably known since he arrived in the capital with Robb. Direwolves and other animals can tell things like that.” Steffon defended himself softly, smiling at how Alice was trying to be cross with him…but she wasn’t using her “angry” voice at him to truly get her point across.
Robb shook his head, “I’m not going to tell anyone, Alice, I promise. It’s not my place to tell anyone anything that happens between the two of you.” He smiled just as Steffon was, “I am your husband’s best friend. It is probably best, anyhow, that you refer to me in an informal way.” His eyes followed Grey, “Someone is protective of you already, my Queen.”
Alice sighed, Steffon was right, Robb would have known either way. He would keep their secret. “Thank you, Robb.” She reached up and threaded her fingers of her hand into Robb’s curls, resting her forehead against his. She bumped her nose gently against the Young Wolf’s before giving him a kiss that could hardly be considered one, it was just a light brush of lips really.
“He does seem rather protective. Probably because I gave him a full game hen last night so he would take my letter to you. He probably knows like I will spoil him just like I spoil everyone who matters to me.”
Robb sighed againt her touch, for a moment forgetting Steffon was there and forgetting just who the blond in front of him was. A small, primal growl escaped his lips when Alice simply brushed his lips over his and the moment Alice finished talking, Robb’s hand was on the back of her neck, pulling her in for a “real” kiss.
Steffon lifted a brow, moving out of the way so he wasn’t between the two of them. He couldn’t help but chuckle as he made his way over to the desk that had sat in the corner of the chambers since he became King - he often preferred to work in his chambers instead of his study. It was especially easier to get work done on the days where Alice was exceptionally….hot for her husband. Steffon could please her and then move over to his desk to get a letter or two written before returning to bed.
Alice gasped in surprise but that didn’t stop her from kissing Robb back when she was pulled to him. “Easy my wolf, I’m supposed to be resting.” She mumbled against his lips when they parted to catch their breath before once again kissing him. She carded her fingers through the curls at the nape of his neck, her nails gently scratching the skin.
“My wolf,” Steffon mumbled as he sat down, looking over the papers at the top of the pile he needed to look at as soon as possible. While he definitely enjoyed the fact Alice and Robb were getting along, Steffon couldn’t help but feel particularly possessive of Robb.
“You are resting,” Robb smirked, “You’re laying down, covered up, I am simply keeping you company.” He didn’t hear what Steffon mumbled.
“Then get under the blanket and keep me warm.” Alice nuzzled Robb’s check as her fingers slowly worked open the front of his jerkin. “Hopefully you are just as snuggly as your wolf.” Her green eyes glanced over the Northerner’s shoulder to take in the for of her husband, looking for any sign she was displeasing or upsetting him by touching Robb.
Steffon was jealous, yes, but it was foolish of him he knew so he smiled when he caught Alice’s gaze, trying to show her that she wasn’t upsetting him. The last thing he needed was to add unneeded stress to his pregnant wife.
Robb caught Alice’s hand, lifting them to his lips before getting to his feet and moving around to the other side of the bed. He paused, looking over at Steffon with silent questions. Was it acceptable for Robb to be in the Kings Bed with the Queen What if someone came i and caught Robb and Alice n bed together? What kind of trouble would that stir up?
Alice sighed in relief quietly and visibly relaxed when she saw her husband’s smile. It was reassuring, knowing he was happy and willing to share the most important man in his life with her. She returned her husband’s smile before sitting up and tugging off her shoes, dropping the soft deerskin leather boots onto the floor next to the bed. “Maybe if we are lucky, my husband will join us.” Her attention was now turned to Robb as she tugged the ribbon holding her curls up out, it was the same red as the one she had tied around GreyWind the night before.
Robb slipped under the covers after peeling off his peels and doublet, he left his tunic and trousers on in case…well, he wasn’t sure - not that he was thinking clearly - how comfortable he was just yet being naked in front of Alice with Steffon in the room. Robb knew how possessive Steffon could get of the people he cared about. Robb didn’t want to risk upsetting him accidentally.
“Your husband has work to do, Alice.” Steffon sighed as he lit the candle on his desk to give himself better lighting “No funny business, over there. You are supposed to be resting. I don’t wnat to risk anything, and that includes sex. Do you hear me?”
Alice turned to Robb and cuddled into the solid form of the King of the North, her head resting on his chest over his heart listening to it beat. This was how she slept with Steffan most nights.
“I don’t want to risk anything either, my love. We are just cuddling.” She curled her tiny form more against Robb’s side. “Not gonna risk this little one’s life for anything, even sex.” She couldn’t believe that she had just said that, she loved sex.
“Leave her be, Steffon, I can watch her for a few moments. Just answer your very important kingly things.” Robb snickered toward his friend and King.
Steffon lifted a brow at Alice’s words. Oh, he doubted that. He knew his wife. Before long she would be pawing at him, needing release from her natural sexual drive. Steffon wasn’t sure what was allowed…he would have to ask the Maester. His attentions slipped to what Robb said and Steffon grunted, “Watch it, Lord Stark, I am still your King.”
“It doesn’t hold the same weight when I was my King’s first and…dare I say….was on top.” Robb’s words had Steffon glaring at him and half tempted to cross the room…
Alice tilted her head to look up at Robb with a surprised look, she found it a bit of a surprise that Steffon had been the one that had been the submission one. “Our first time, he had me on top too. But he was definitely the one in charge. I had handprint bruises on my hips the next morning.” The thought of her wedding night had Alice clenching her thighs together to relieve some of the tingling that had started in her neither region
“I was young when we had our “first time” Stark, don’t get excited about being on top.” Steffon growled before looking at Alice once more, “You were on top because I didn’t want you to feel overwhelmed. It was so you could control the pace of things. It doesn’t make me….submissive or any thing of the sort. Just inexperienced at the time and thoughtful over your well being.”
Robb chuckled, “Look and listen to how defensive he’s getting.”
Steffon blew out the candle on his desk and started across the room
“It was impossible not to feel overwhelmed with that night, with you inside me and the small council watching. I wouldn’t trade how that night went for anything.” Alice sat up with a worried look on her face when her husband started a crossed the room. She hadn’t ment anything by the teasing. “Don’t be cross my love, we are only teasing.” She moved to rise from the bed to stand before her king.
“Lay back down before you hurt yourself.” Steffon instructed, softly, his hands moving to Alice’s hips as Robb reached out to place a hand to his queens arm. “Go on, I’m not cross.” He promised waiting for Alice to get back into bed before Steffon stripped out of his clothes, leaving himself completely naked, as he slid into bed so Alice was in between him and Robb. “I’m not cross with you. I am cross with Lord Stark who seems to have forgotten his place.”
Robb smirked, “You’ll have to remind me later then.” He replied defiantly
“Can I watch?” The blonde lioness grinned when she settled in between the two Kings after removing her dress and tugging on her night dress that had been left out by her handmaiden. “How did I get lucky enough to be laying between two kings?” Her voice came out just above a whisper. Her back was pressed against Robb’s chest as she wrapped her arms around her husbanf.
Greywind rose from where he had been laying on the floor to cross the room to join his pack in the bed. The wooden frame squeaked in the combined weight as the direwolf settled at the foot.
“You aren’t watching anything because then you’ll want to join in and we are not risking that.” Steffon answered, determined to keep Alice doing nothing but lying in bed, eating, and taking care of their unborn child.
“I’m not technically a king.” Robb pointed out with a chuckle, ignoring Steffon’s words. “But please continue to think of me as such.” Robb did have the title of King in the North, but it was more an honorary title then anything else. Something Steffon allowed his best friend to have but without the power that came with being a King. Like the Dornish with their royal titles but no actual royal power. “Easy Grey,” he laughed, moving his feet so his direwolf didn’t squish them.
Alice frowned but hide it from the two men by nuzzling her face against Steffon’s naked chest. She didn’t like being told she couldn’t do something she wanted. It was part of her spoiled Lannister personality.
“I will, mostly because I like to think that I have a southern and northern kings lovers.” She admitted, “ I could just call you our wolf.” Reaching a hand back, she carded her fingers through his soft curls.
Steffon looked own, catching his wife’s pout and chuckled, tilting her head back so Steffon could place a kiss to her lips. “I will ask the Maeter about it, but I don’t think he will allow you to do such a thing for many moons, love.”
“I think that nickname will do for now,” Robb nodded, leaning into Alice’s touch.
“Alright.” Alice gave in after the kiss, Steffon knew her all too well. “At least you have Robb to keep you satisfied.” She glanced over her shoulder at the wolf. “You will take good care of his needs, won’t you?” She didn’t need a verbal answer from him, she knew he would. Robb had taken care of her husband’s needs long before she had been in the picture.
Steffon and Robb looked at each other and chuckled, Robb saying, “It’s a tall order, but I’ll do my best. I fear our King has gotten to used to a more fmeiniene bed companion than to know what to do with a man.”
Steffon blushed, his eyes widening slightly at Robb’s words, “Shut up.” he ordered lamely avoiding their gazes. “I have not forgotten…it’s not that different.”
“Just as long as he doesn’t forget how to please me.” Alice replied sleepily as she snuggled into the blankets, her eyes getting heavy. It had been a very eventful day. Her arms wrapped around her tummy, protectivly. “He just needs to remember how to properly please a lady…I want a big family one day.” She muttered more to herself then to the kings, “Goodnight my little fawn.” Her fingers slowly stroked her flat tummy.
“I know how to please both of you, now knock it off.” Steffon sighed. He knew Alice was going to be sleep any moment now and that would mean he and Robb could finally get up and go about their business Steffon had affairs to care for concerning the continuous running of the seven kingdoms, and Robb…surely he had something to do instead of just lying around all day watching Alice sleep.
It only took a few minutes for sleep to over take the young queen, her breathing evening out and her hands stilling on her belly. It would be a long few moons for the queen, she had always liked to be involved in the daily hustle and bustle of the castle. But she would do anything needed to insure that the tiny prince or princess in her tummy would be born.
Steffon waited several long minutes after Alice had fallen asleep before getting out of bed, dressing, and heading back over to his desk. “You can remain there if you wish, but as the King I have places to be other than this room.” he hummed over to his hand. Steffon gathered up a few rolls of parchment and slipped his crown back on his head, “Put the board over the door if you’re going to be naked in here…and don’t let her talk you into anything, Stark.”
Robb looked down at the sleeping blonde curled against his chest. He carefully brushed her curls back before pressing a soft kiss to the crown of her head. “No, I should get some work done as well…” He spoke in a quiet voice as he rose from the bed to put his clothes back on.
Greywind lifted his head from where it rested on his paws to look at his master and his mate for a minute before moving to the place between the pregnant woman and the door, letting her curl up against his side. In a wolf pack, you protect a she wolf with pups in her belly no matter what so that is what he was going to do for his human pack.
Moving over to him, Steffon pressed a brief kiss to Robb’s lips and sighed. “I have another chance to be a father, and all I can think about is…what if I turn into my father?” he admitted softly, avoiding Robb’s gaze and instead looking at the bed, at Grey Wind and Alice’s sleeping forms.
Robb tugged Steffon into his arms, holding the king against his chest. “You will never be your father, ever. You were raised better then that.” He told him as he pressed a kiss to his lips. “I won’t let you. I’ll always be here to remind you who you are.”
“I am Robert Baratheon’s son….it is who I am.” Steffon murmured, his eyes filling with small tears as he let out a shaky breath. “I….thank you, Stark, I have to go.” he didn’t feel like standing around, talking about emotions while Alice was right there. Steffon needed to act strong, for her. He needed to be strong. “I’ll see you later.” and he left the room before Robb could stop him.
Robb sighed. Steffon may be Robert's son by blood but Robb's own father had been the one to raise him and helped make him the man he was today. He would never be a terrible father like Robert was. Steffon was too good of a person for that.
With one last glance at his wolf and the queen, Robb left the room to return to the hands tower. Greywind would return on his own in time.

“You aren’t watching anything because then you’ll want to join in and we are not risking that.” Steffon answered, determined to keep Alice doing nothing but lying in bed, eating, and taking care of their unborn child.

"No, I should get some work done as well..." He spoke in a quiet voice as he rose from the bed to put his clothes back on.

"Just as long as he doesn't forget how to please me." Alice replied sleepily as she snuggled into the blankets, her eyes getting heavy. It had been a very eventful day. Her arms wrapped around her tummy, protectivly. "He just needs to remember how to properly please a lady...I want a big family one day." She muttered more to herself then to the kings, "Goodnight my little fawn." Her fingers slowly stroked her flat tummy.

"Can I watch?" The blonde lioness grinned when she settled in between the two Kings after removing her dress and tugging on her night dress that had been left out by her handmaiden. "How did I get lucky enough to be laying between two kings?" Her voice came out just above a whisper. Her back was pressed against Robb's chest as she wrapped her arms around her husbanf.
Greywind rose from where he had been laying on the floor to cross the room to join his pack in the bed. The wooden frame squeaked in the combined weight as the direwolf settled at the foot.

"I don't want to risk anything either, my love. We are just cuddling." She curled her tiny form more against Robb's side. "Not gonna risk this little one's life for anything, even sex." She couldn't believe that she had just said that, she loved sex.
