New life, new friendships
Atem had heard tell from her brother about another being, one that Timaeus had confirmed the existence of. Though both had said it might not be necessary to reach out, the other might not respond at all, he didn't take kindly to some people. But they were protective, of her, of her and Timaeus' family. She didn't blame them, but as she walked, she thought over the tales they told.
Of a sickening green stone, of a mad king. Things that she saw in nightmares as unfocused images, things that were hard to make out, it was like watching a movie from under the water…And how terribly ironic that was, considering. But it was images of a life she never lived, fragments from a splintered soul that went through events like that out of a story book. Battling villains and monsters and history.
Timaeus never talked a lot about Atlantis. It was a time long gone, lost to the depths and darkness. There was no point on focusing on it when they had their present, and their futures, to look forward to and build. She understood, after all she had moved on from her home, head high and hadn't looked back to the sands and throne she left behind after settling in her new life.
Her gaze turned to the bundle in one arm, a small hand in the other and she smiled warmly. Yes, a new life. And one…That maybe she could give just a little hope to another with. The only question was…Would it work? She took a breath and closed her eyes as she tapped into her magic and reached out, searching for something that seemed familiar, a little bit of that Atlantean energy that had surrounded her for years now, and yet it was something not familiar at all. It was old, and powerful and endless. And when she found what she hoped was right, instead of grasping for it…
She gently breathed, as if tapping the other on the shoulder. A kind and warm invitation.
The shadows coiled and curled at her feet and she shook her head. "Calm down, there's nothing to fear, you worry too much," she murmured to them and the shadows settled just as she sat on a nearby bench to wait.
