wesker and birkin participating in james marcus's assassination is actually the greatest scene in all of resident evil. marcus's weird little voice & accent, a mini swat team unloading all of their bullets into this old man for honestly a bit too long, wesker and birkin strutting in like they're on a red carpet, the way they lean over his dying body, wesker going 'aw. time to die, doctor' in his stupid little voice and ambiguous accent like he's trying not to laugh, birkin going 'i will take over your research' so smugly and then doing the most half-assed maniacal laugh i've ever heard, marcus's sad little 'wesker... birkin...' this is peak comedy to me

Mirror characters:

-William Birkin and James Marcus: Both were geniuses who were recruited by Ozwell E. Spencer, renowned by their discoveries of the T-Virus and G-Virus respectively. Both had also a tendency to excessively put their work over everything else, to the point of neglect, either with Birkin neglecting Sherry or Marcus becoming more insane. Both eventually got betrayed and killed by Umbrella and got disposed of, after becoming mutants at the hands of their viral creations, with their deaths also involving heat.
