Jim snorted softly. “I wouldn’t be sad, no,” he said. “I just figured you should meet your nephew, that’s all. I’m also only trying to point out that it would be easier for you to come by on Friday, when I have him at my place. Rather than all of us dealing with Barbara’s wrath.”
Beth pouted a bit when Jim didn’t respond much to her flirtations. The man had always been a little dense though. “I’d love to meet him. It would give us some time to be alone as well. You know, to catch up. After all I missed you, Jimmy.” she smiled, a hand lightly touching his arm. “I can be there around 5? Is that good for you. I’ll even make dinner! I’m sure you’re sick of take out right?”
