                –HAZAMA   flinches.   It’s probably no surprise that it doesn’t hurt as much as one might have hoped,   though it certainly isn’t pleasant.   “Is that it…?   I was expecting a bit more…   I guess secret techniques are just another one of your,   ah,   shortcomings.”

            { 🦇 } “I have plenty more up my sleeve if that wasn’t enough for you, tallman.” She was glaring daggers at him now, but it was hard to be intimidating when you looked like you’re 12. “Just because you have the height advantage doesn’t mean I’ll be an easy opponent for you.”

             { 🦇 } “Perhaps you’re right. Perhaps without all those commodities you listed, I’d be nothing. But then again, there’s no real way to prove your theory, is there?” She grabbed Gii out of the sky and began to dribble him like a basketball as she spoke.

“Meanwhile, what do you have to show for yourself? Tacky fashion sense and a life in drifting. Do you really want to play the comparison game with me? I may have some less-than-desirable aspects of my life, but in the end, I think I’m much better off than you will ever be.”

                –”YOU’RE   the one relying on material possessions,   aren’t you?   I wouldn’t say that reflects too well on you,”   he wants nothing more than to kill her and her stupid pets,   but nothing he could do would ever keep her in a permanent grave.

              “What exactly have you accomplished,   hm?   Sitting around bored on your throne?   Handing out cryptic advice to deaf ears?   I can’t think of a single way that you’ve really impacted anything here.   In this possibility or any of the others.   Me on the other hand,   Well…   Nobody would be where they are today if I hadn’t gotten involved.”

             { 🦇 } “Well, as you’ve so cleverly pointed out, my lack of impact comes from an inability to intervene. Perhaps I could achieve more were I allowed to get involved, but I suppose we’ll never know.” Rachel gave a nonchalant shrug at the end of her sentence.

“You know, it’s the strangest thing. Even this conversation is starting to get boring. Pity. I thought you would at least be good for a few laughs at your expense, but I suppose you can’t even offer that.”

             { 🦇 } “Ah, would you look at that. Seems all that cheap hair dye didn’t remove all of your brains. Well, what little brains you may have had to begin with, after all.” A small, smug laugh comes from the girl. “True, I must stay uninvolved in most affairs. It’s a dreadful existence, but also not an unwelcome one. It does lead to boredom, but it also means that sometimes I can just enjoy some time alone.”

                –HAZAMA   laughs,   a cold and empty sound.   “Alone time?   Last time I checked you couldn’t get enough of dragging people off to that castle of yours,”   it’s not something that he has any business knowing,   but it’s not like he hasn’t had the time to learn all sorts of secrets.   “Don’t patronize me.   Talk all the shit you like,   vampire,   we all know you wouldn’t last long out here in the real world.   Take away that pampering butler and your cushy castle and you’ve got nothing left.   You’d be left to rot with the rest of the ‘common folk’.”

You’re hardly even worth a second glance, truth be told.” Rachel practically shrugged the man off with complete indifference. “However, your words ring true in a sense. I am particularly bored as of right now. Life has fallen into a bit of a dull streak.”

                –”IF   I’m so lowly then why don’t you quit wasting both our time and go do something useful.   Lock yourself in a coffin,   or figure out how to die,   or something,”   he crosses his arms,   equal parts frustration at her existence and frustration at how easily she blows him off like any other common riff raff.   “I’d tell you to make things interesting but,   well.   Staying uninvolved is where all your power comes from,   isn’t it.   That must be rough.”

As for your other question, yes, each world does have its own Blue. It would only be logical, correct? I fail to see why it was even a question.”

“A link? Is that what I felt the first time I met you?” It was..strange, this link or whatever. He never had this feeling before and in a way, it always felt like something was tugging at him towards Rachel’s direction, though when she answered the second question he just let out a small sigh.

“I just..wanted to make sure, cause I don’t even remember if there was anything like that in my own world.”

             { 🦇 } “Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn’t. Who can say?” Another sip of the tea. “All I know is that you have found yourself intertwined within the fates of myself and others. Destiny is a cruel mistress in that regard, isn’t it?” She began idly pulling at the cheeks of her trusty red bat familiar, showing her disinterest.

“Now then, any further questions? I would like to get back to my tea time sooner rather than later.”

                –”WELL   fancy meeting you here,”   he doffs his hat,   a mocking gesture towards the pomp and circumstance that surrounds the vampire without fail.   “Though I can’t say it’s much of a pleasure.   Are you here to get in my way?   All that power of yours and you choose to waste my time?   Are you really so bored that you’re seeking out petty squabbles or do you just hate me that much?”     @queenofrcse

Clearly, I need to find better hiding spots.” Rachel said, taking a sip of the tea she had in her hands before speaking once more.

“But I digress. You’ve found me, so now you have my attention. How may I help you?”

“Yeah, but I never wanted to be thrown into some goose hunt for the Blue, so I guess we both are a bit unlucky tonight huh?” Once he felt like he was finally able to catch his breath, the hunter stood up straight and wiped away an excess sweat he had on his face.

“Yeah, just two questions. What was…this bond or whatever you talked about a while ago and, does each world have it’s own ‘Blue’?”
