She tilts her head slightly. “Do you have a place to stay? There are plenty of houses available in the residential area of Zone Two…”

She hesitates before shaking her head slowly. She didn’t have a place to stay, but she wasn’t sure she wanted to stay in Zone Two…

"Well, I could escort you there if you wanted? Or have someone escort you for me? I do not wish to imply your presence is undesired, but this may not be the best place to lounge about as it could be boring..."

"Ah, thank you very much! I have worked day and night to ensure the beauty and wellbeing of the file… I wish to make a safe space for all who enter here, and all who already inhabit it." She smiled and lifted her hand, a small plant growing beside Bart, bigger and bigger until wonderful white petals were kissing his cheek. "Please, take it."

She wasn’t entirely sure how this Batter had managed to make her feel at such ease, but she felt that she had nothing to fear around him. She also knew she would be perfectly able to take down any Batter who were to strike her- years of experience warranted that. 

"He… Did appear for a while, in one of my memories… Yet I am unsure as to where he is now. It is no matter, though… It was entirely his choice to leave, I am sure." She laughed softly and shook her head. "No, any Batter I may have defeated is now gone, but not in such a gruesome manner."

Bart quickly held the flower in his palms,gently holding it, looking at it with the biggest, most joyous smile he could muster. “It’s beautiful! thank you so much Sister Vader!”  he held it in his right hand, as he slipped it under his cloak.

How nice of this Queen to treat him so kindly! already giving him gifts of flowers and nice  words, something that he rarely received at first meeting from other Queens, as his iterations have not been the sweetest with them. He understood this though, so it wouldn’t have bothered him if the dear Queen would’ve treated him a bit coldly.

“I see!” Exclaimed the batter as he pulled an empty right hand from under the cloak, clasping his hands in front of him in slight surprise and relief. “I suppose it’s for the better of the file! Though, I would’ve gladly liked to talk to your Batter, if He—-and you would allowed me to!”

"It is my pleasure- just a taste of what this file now has to offer. Not only is the plastic safer to navigate, but we have pools of water as well. I have made so many improvements..." She sighed gently with a wide smile.

She felt like she was more perceptive now to other's intentions, and she felt no threat from this perhaps overly friendly Batter. If things went sour she'd naturally feel a tad betrayed, yet she'd know how to defend herself. She was stronger now- she was no longer blind.

"Oh, well, you are free to look for him, of course. He was not unkind, so you needn't worry about that. He came back with no intent to harm anyone, yet... Apparently he chose to leave nonetheless. Perhaps I was not his one true love after all." The woman looked to the side, slightly brushing some hair behind her ear.

"Ma! Hey Ma, I'm home!"

Vader rushed to open the door to her office, dashing into the hallway to receive him with open arms. “Oh, Hugo! I’ve missed you so much!”

"I just don’t want you getting in any trouble with ma is all." Hugo said with a nod. "If you’re still hungry you can eat more though! Just one at a time." He smiled, hoping he was being reasonable.

She sighed and nodded, consuming the pudding quickly before reaching for some roasted ham… Slowly. So as to not upset her new big brother. She took a nervous bite out of it.

Hugo smiled and patted her sister’s head, sitting down and conjuring another green orange. Maybe he should just start calling them greens.

Soon she was completely asleep, curled up on the table between a bowl of apples and a bowl of salad. That's kids for you.
