A woman moves into her late aunt's apartment, but it isn't an ordinary place to live. In this apartment, time bends, and she finds herself slipping seven years into the past, where she meets a man who once lived there. Their lives overlap across time, and the story follows what happends when love doesn't exist in the same year.
This novel made me feel conflicted -- part of me really liked it, and part of me didn't connect with it. I think that feeling came from the time-slip element; sometimes it felt moving, and other times it pulled me out of the story.
The relationship between the couple felt natural, and their interactions had a warm, soft, comforting tone. I liked the cozy atmosphere and the gentle way their bond developed.
Although I liked the couple, their relationship didn't feel particulary special or memorable. I didn't feel a deep emotional connection between them beyond the apartment and the time-slip concept itself.
Overall, The Seven Year Slip has a beautiful concept and a warm, comforting vibe. However, the emotional connection didn't fully land for me, and the time-jump element sometimes weakened my attachment to the characters. I enjoyed reading it, but it didn't leave a strong lasting impact.
