No, this is not a scene out of Jurassic Park, this is one of our favorite inshore fishing spots! Really tall but skinny island right in front of Manuel Antonio National Park. Great spot to look for roosterfish and snapper. The outside of the rock quickly drops to 50-80 feet, and the inside is a bit more shallow. There are tons of submerged caves around this island, and in addition to being a great fishing spot, it's a great scuba spot as well. The island also has a couple of blow holes when it gets rough, and it makes a huge sound like a train is coming, and then water will spray out of small crevices in the top of the island. Completely full of sea birds, it looks like it has been snowed on in our dry season. This was taken during the "night rain" season so the island is nice and green and there is no visible sea bird "snow". (at Quepos, Costa Rica)
