This Doctor oftentimes gets very frustrated at the lack of thumbs ponies have, but never gets around to developing a gauntlet that actually allows him to have them. He is an absolute cheapskate when it comes to instant noodles and energy drinks, and enjoys watching videos of cable management.

testing with clip studio paint.

i genuinely don't get what the hype is about. the icons on everything, those are far too small, and within the trial version of the program, i sure as hell can't find a way to make them larger, because i can barely fucking see them on my tablet.

the blending pens don't seem to work, or require much larger sizes than what i'm used to, and this is stuff from the program at BASELINE. even sai has better options than this. i should not have to download a fucktillion brushes from the marketplace just to see if something will work for what i want to do.

everything is nested within submenus, disrupting workflow. if you want to use the program and you're coming from another one, good luck, because the brush size menu is off to the side, and is a completely separate menu from the brush settings menu.

i think i'd rather stick to sai.

actual proper rendering test with sai2.

found some brush that i actually like, and managed to get a scatter pack set up properly after raging about it. turns out it was user error.

anyways, sai2's layer modes seem to trend more towards vibrancy, so i'm probably going to futz with that, because i think vibrant artwork would be cool, even if this idiot is gray as all hell.

there's still some issues that i dislike about sai2, it doesn't feel like an outright improvement over sai1, instead opting to add in tools that are present in even stuff like MS Paint. i still can't create a new layer from something that's already a file within the same canvas.

i'll be getting this background set up for sale so that people can utilize it for their own purposes. just needs some tinkering, because the background was made after i did the concept sketch, and because it was to serve the purpose of being something to look at other than the doctor.
