I'm so excited about HL2VRAI, had to make a little what-if comic. I already love Stain so much, unfortunately the idea of him being a remnant of some horrible eldritch monster that just won't stay dead rules soooo much <3 "if I leave here, will the best thing happen to me? :D" is exactly the kind of thing someone says in a movie before being consumed by a terrible evil

The Basilica of St. Agnes stood in the heart of the city, a scant three miles from the palace gates. It wasn't the oldest church in Breizh. It wasn't the holiest or the most architecturally significant. But it was the largest, and in the early stages of wedding planning, that had seemed like the most important thing. Other than its size, the Basilica's most interesting feature was its ancient bronze bell—older than the kingdom itself—whose almighty toll was audible from anywhere in the capital.
Inside the sanctuary, it was deafening.

author's note: okay so. I've had this done for a while, but I was stuck on the next post for months. I had a perfect and beautiful idea today on march 18th 2026, which was like 2 days after EA decided to disable 98% of everyone's mods folders (conservative estimate). Yes, I had auto-updates off. The EA app mysteriously forgot my settings.
Anyway: welcome to the start of chapter 6. We're doing a cool en medias res situation. This is the morning of Freddy and Emily's big, public wedding, which is happening in the distant future of "several months after the events of chapter 5."
all you need to know for now is that everything is going great.
