I don’t post here often, but I go here when I feel like I can’t go anywhere else!

The game, Phasmophobia, about ghost hunting and identifying ghosts, recently blew up. I watch a lot of my Gamer-Youtubers play it, and it’s amusing, but I /hate/ the damage it’s done on the term “Smudge Stick”. It’s straight up a bad case of research on their part, they’re from the UK, but come-on...

Misinformation in the Witchcraft community drove the term for Smoke-Cleansing Sticks as “Smudge Sticks”, and those who fight for the correction of that know well that once that misinformation is out there, there are people who will fight that it isn’t cultural appropriation *eye rolls*

Now this huge game that blew up, which so many people have played or watched, and don’t even know it’s a misused term, will forever know the incorrect label. 

And there’s not even a good way to contact the gaming studio! Join their Discord to get bombarded by people defending it? no thanks. Tweet them? same dish. 

Just gonna sit here trying to not be upset about big damages done by “the gaming studio not knowing the game would blow up like this”.

We attended RockFest this weekend!!!

We saw Skillet, Mastodon, and Evenescense Thursday night. Friday there was an evacuation of the festgrounds due to an extreme thunderstorm warning, we were just getting to the grounds and were told to park and not leave the car due to safety reasons. The sky turned green and we saw some spinning of clouds. After about an hour and a half of 85 mile an hour winds it was fine! We waited in line, got soaked, and saw Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Five Finger Death Punch. Today is the last day and we are gonna see I Prevail, In This Moment, Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie!

The Summer Solstice was upon us!

It was my first celebration since moving, so I was both unprepared and so excited! Made a whole weekend ordeal.

Friday:

After work we just Ordered pizza and set up our “office”!

Saturday:

Went to a nice grocery store and got some stuff to make steak with green beans and mushrooms. Also got some Arizona honey. A few other snacks like cheese and Canolli’s!

After dropping off the food we went to a local Garden center and got Maidens Hair Fern and a Japanese painted fern! (Also some extra goodies: window bird feeder, an adorable watering can!)

Made some dinner and relaxed in our new “office” space!

Sunday:

Went to the local farmers market, got some fresh veggies (mixed greens, snap peas, radishes, green onion, Honey)

Cheese platter with Barley Buzzed (coffee lavender) cheese and some Champignons Mushroom cheese (more of a Brie style, very soft)

Leah made two gallons of mead!

Now I’m just winding down for the day with a cup of Morning in Missoula eating a Canolli.

It was really nice and relaxing <3 I’ll continue the celebration with repotting my plants maybe this week and putting up the bird feeder. Maybe doing some divination~

Nanowrimo weekly update: Day 18. (I still can’t figure out how to make this not as blurry)

I have just surpassed 30k!! I can’t believe that I’m still in this, I might even win at this rate. Here are some stats and the calendar for reference.

Day 11 is where I left off and I had about 17.5k Day 12: Passed 19k Day 13: over 21.5k Day 14: hit the daily goal 15-16: Nothing! I was working, and I fell behind a little. Day 17 I barley made over 300 words. Day 18: It’s still 20 minutes before midnight, but I’m most likely gonna hit 7k daily words! And I already hit 30k! I’m hoping with Thanksgiving, I’ll have some time to work ahead, just in case I have to be behind cause of work. I’m so excited!

11/13/18: I just surpassed my greatest word count of my entire Nanowrimo 10 year career!!

It’s still so surreal that I am on track, and just passed by all time word-count!?? I’m not even anywhere near the like, actual forward-pressing-to-the-main-plot part of the story. So it’s looking up! (knocks on wood)

Nanowrimo 2018 11th day update! (it’s a bit blurry, but if you click it it’s more legible.)

This is the first year in 9 years that I’ve done this well. it was only in 2009, when I started, did I get over 20k, and now seeing that I caught up and am on track is a little bewildering but exciting! (I does help that I’ve had this particular idea for this story since sometime in 2015. Though two years ago when i tried to start a draft I didn’t even get passed 4.5k.)

It’s looking ahead! I was tough to start, always is for me, but once I got the ball rolling and remember that Nanowrimo is literally to wordvomit and get a draft of something down, it helped a lot. 

I’m gonna be staying up writing, the stats I had to snap a pic of before midnight so that It was more precise.

I haven’t had time to post my Autumn Crossquarter celebration (since my job has been keeping me busy and I had a wake and a funeral to go to the Thursday and Friday After) but here are a few photos!

Leah made spooky drinks (I’m on mobile right now but I’ll link to it later) it was a zombie or something and mine which was a non-alcoholic version. We listened to vinyls while prepping beef stew to stew overnight and we also made some Vegan Chickpea Curry! We carved pumpkins, and I did keep the seeds but I just finally realized I don’t like them much. xD and messed with spooky slime!

It’s also the first year I’ve had trick-or-treaters! Since I’m at my parents place, and they had to be out, I got to hand out the candy. And I didn’t realize how much I wouldn’t like it!

Overall fun but still wished I could have planned more, but late mornings added with having to wake up early for the wake it was cut short a bit. I literally should make this a week long thing for my personal celebration since it’s one of my favorite celebrations.

Here are some pictures of my Autumn Equinox Celebration!

This year I mainly celebrated by myself, since Leah had to be somewhere this Saturday-Sunday. But I still had an amazing time, the weather turned out perfect after a week of long rainy days.

Friday Leah and I made some Pumpkin Bars and Pumpkin Bread, we also did some Iron on Beads! (Which i might make into coasters later on) 

Saturday we woke up and had coffee and our sweets~ She left early in the morning so I had my day open. I dressed up, wore my autumn poncho and autumn tree-of-life necklace (tho they don’t really go well together xD) I did the usual tidying and smoke-cleansing the house. I spent time outside and enjoyed the weather. Made some Chicken and Mushroom Casserole (which turned out sooooo good over rice!!) and made sure to have some for dinner. Overall this day was so amazing, It felt like I was so down to earth and really re-energized.

Sunday I spent time outside and working on a new wood-working project with my parents! My mother and I planned out to make a new Mailbox stand and we are done with the first part. We also walked around and planned out some things we want to do before winter comes.

Leah came later in the night and brought me presents~ She got me some Jasmine Tea (my fav) and grabbed me three raw stones <3 they are Lepidolite, Sodalite, and Tourmaline.

Leah and I went to the state fair with her parents today! One of the things on my list to get was a Vegitarian Viking Nordic Waffle (and omg it was amazing). We also got Thai rolled Ice Cream!! Cookies and Cream of course (with added bear chocolate drizzle). Also not pictured is dinner which was Vegetable Plate at a Mediterranean stall.
