Made this blog on impulse, but hey! I guess I’m doing this.

Welcome to trans-joy-is, a blog where you can send in your examples and moments of trans joy through the ask box. I also reblog posts about trans joy, but if you want me to delete my reblog just tell me and I will absolutely do that

Aside from basic tags like #trans joy, #trans, and #transgender, I try to add identity tags that people may relate to, as well as ones that may be applicable to a person in a post. This isn’t meant to assign labels, just to tag related things. Feel free to vary your ask to match who you are (for instance “Transmasculine joy is…” or “Disabled trans joy is…”), and I’ll make sure to include those in the tags!

I make a point to include as little transphobia as possible (when it comes up it's from the mouths of trans people, always tagged), and I will not put any transphobic replies, asks, or anything else on this blog

I am so glad that I live in a world with trans women and trans men and nonbinary people and intersex people. Things are hard for all of us right now, but I love you all and I am wishing that things get better and easier for all of us! ❤️

Ideally I'd make a post like "It is pride month! Yay! :D" ...But it is getting increasingly hard to exist as a trans person, let alone celebrate it.

We should still celebrate it. That celebration doesn't need to be loud. It doesn't need to be noticed by anyone except yourself.

They want us to feel shame at who we are. They want others to fear what we are. Pride in yourself is the antithesis of shame. So please, now more than ever, make sure you celebrate pride. Celebrate you.

You are worth celebrating. Happy pride.

Trans joy is realizing that the women's public restroom is closed and I "have no choice" but to go into the men's restroom along with every other person who needs to p!ss, regardless of their gender (gasp what blasphemy, how dare people be using the restroom instead of trying to peep into other stalls /s)

these get reposted a whole lot from here to reddit to twitter to tiktok and on and on, and i don't personally care whether or not i'm credited. i made these for everyone to use, enjoy, and find meaning in them. i appreciate folks who do credit me, but if able, please at least link to the threadless shop in the previous post - folks can get an official shirt where 90% of earnings go to trans led orgs focused on mental health (which is an important matter in general, but very personal to me) and not from a scam bot site selling AI-churned maga garbage where you probably won't get one anyway. i also suggest downloading the files from my ko-fi - they are free/PWYW and you can use them to make your own shirt, patch, embroidery project, whatever. tips are always nice, cuz i do like a pizza now and then, but never required for download.

final thought - breaking the pride tradition and more than likely won't make a new piece. the top one from TDOV is all i'm making this year. i have my focus on other projects currently and i don't want to force a poster design. these came from a specific head space and my current head space is Very Tired lmao so i wanna work on other things. 👍

I was nervous about sharing my new name, but I recently worked up the courage and all my friends have been enthusiastically supportive! So, my friend group has all our birthdays and wishlists on a shared notes app; I opened the note today and saw that someone changed my name on it to my chosen one for me?! I didn't even ask anyone to do that, but someone thought about it and did it themselves. I adore my friends. Like seriously 😭

I finally got the courage to changed my name and pronouns at my job that I’ve had for the last (almost) 4 years, and everyone is really supportive

the world will always be better with another woman like you, with another man like you, with another person like you, with another gender descriptor of any kind like you. being yourself authentically is never worth holding yourself back, unless you would be in genuine danger if you transitioned. in which case... remove yourself from the people, from the environments, from whatever is keeping you from transitioning when you can. your trans joy is worth it.
