Quietroom foundation calls travellers to report well-insulated hotel rooms
The Quietroom foundation, known for its efforts to stimulate the development of quiet hotel rooms and initiator of the Quietroom label, is calling travellers worldwide to report hotels that have well-insulated hotel rooms -or not.
Over the past 5 years, the Quietroom foundation has managed to firmly establish the Quietroom label. Over 170 hotels in Europe and around the world now fly the label, which signifies that they have been certified for having quiet hotel rooms.
But the problem of noisy hotel rooms persists and a growing number of travellers voice their displeasure through social media, which can seriously affect hotels' booking rates. Now the Quietroom foundation seeks to engage travellers directly by asking them to report hotels where they have stayed.
Hotels that are reported as providing quiet rooms will be contacted by the Quietroom foundation with a view to certification. This will guarantee them regular publicity as well as inclusion on the foundation's global overview of quiet hotels.
Hotels that receive a negative report, will also be contacted and invited to have one or more of their rooms inspected for noise pollution, so that they may subsequently undergo insulation and certification.
