Hi! I was wondering if you still offered the Secret Society wedding invites. I love those and must have for my wedding, but do not see them on your website. Please let me know if you have any left in stock. Sincerely Teryl
Hi! I'm sorry if this is way overdue, I rarely check my inbox on here (probably should start though.) Those invites are custom work from a few years ago, I don't really have them for sale anymore. It was just a one off thing. I'm flattered that you took interest in it though, hope you were able to find another great option!
I don't really like posting about these things but a commenter on an old blog post about our shop, conveniently hiding under some abbreviated anonymity made a comment about a few of my cards, and so I feel like I need to put this out there. The "Feliz Cumpleanos" card was posted 39 weeks ago, March 6ish, 2015, as a WIP on Instagram. While the other two, "You've Stolen my Heart" was Jan 6, 2013 and the "Make a Wish Card" was September 2, 2012. Instead of being an arm-chair accuser who's too lazy to check receipts before casting judgement, I think it's really important to do some research, especially when your judgements affect the integrity of independent makers and artists. I take this stuff quite seriously. I work hard for these designs and I know it's easy to jump into bias when it's compared to a bigger brand, but if you do a teensy bit of research on Google, you can see I've designed these way before a particular similar one of it popped up on the Internet. Not sure if I should be more offended that a person would think I'd be this obtuse as to duplicate someone's design and think I can simply get away with it, when I've encountered this comparison before. I don't take ownership of any of these concept-wise because a good part of the charm of my cards is alluding to old-timey popular visuals, and so the coincidental similarities never bothered me. But since this is the 2nd time, I thought I'd put these info out there, at least once ya know? :) (Edited for the nth time as I'm really not riled up about it anymore.)
Creating gifs of your illustrations is a very real addiction. Also, I love fall.
Been aggressively trying to set aside time to art lately, no matter how busy. These are part of a greenhouse series I’ve been working on. Really excited to share more of it when it’s done!
MODULAR MINIATURES
Not an expert on clay, just a dedicated sucker for small things and learning as I go. :) The Sculpey stuff gave me a hard time with previous attempts, but colder working temperature made a ton of difference in terms of supporting weight and retaining shape.
Can’t wait to build around this tiny growing city with different modular shapes, maybe with more depth so it can hold plants and soil better.
Sidenote: There are a ton of ways to smooth out the corners; I’m curious how much better laying out a thin strip of clay on top of the gaps would be, than just crimping and smoothing them together with hands and flat surface. I might try it next time..
I give myself midnight deadlines to balance work and down time. Here’s something I finished tonight. Contemplating mustaches.
Pro tip: The best way to declutter your desk space is to carelessly push things aside

On our way out for a mail run. Just a few days of this I was told, but I hope Oregon doesn't fall apart! (Because you know--we always do!)
Really beautiful drive, photo doesn't do it justice wow. Dim grey sky and bright red
