@quincestisnotajoke
So I was watching this movie....
Called “Sister, my Sister” from 1994,and its basically about 2 sisters who are maids and they basically only have each other and they start a incestuous relationship. But what I wanted to point out from this movie is that there is a scene where the older sister is telling the younger one a story from when they were growing up and how she saved her from being trampled by a horse and now they share a scar:
When I watched that scene my mind immediately went into these pictures:
because of the continuous line that goes through both of them.
This is also a quote from that scene “They’re bound for life, bound in blood.” and do you guys know what else bounds people for life? “The red string of fate” For those who don’t know what the red string of fate is here is a summary: Its a string wrapped around two people who are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. So basically soulmates. And we all know what Tegan and Sara’s thoughts are on soulmates: “I think we chose to come back together. Whether this is our first life or our hundredth, our souls chose to do this together.”- Tegan
“Because the relationship [with tegan] transcends any relationship I could have with any other human being. We were conceived in the same womb, and we look the same, and we’ve formed this band together- we have this intrinsic connection. And I will unconditionally love her, and hate her, until the end of time. Maybe, I don’t believe in soul mates because I already have one.”- Sara
And in my mind a red string could also be a RedBelt...
And now for the big question
Whats the point of this post? To just get it out of my head if not it will drive me insane…. so yeah…..
( x )
Damn Sara
Date someone who looks at u like Tegan looks at Sara

Pillow Talk: Feel the presence of your loved one
Hey everyone! I wanted to share something I hold near and dear to me. I’ve followed this company for a long time now and it brings me much joy to see Little Riot finally has a prototype for their product called Pillow Talk!
I remember seeing advertisements for this crazy gadget on Tumblr years ago. You wear a ring, and then your partners pillow will light up indicating their presence. (It honestly seemed too good to be true.)
The whole point of it was a way to stay close and feel connected to your loved one when they can’t be with you. For long distance lovers in mind, this little gadget is a godsend. But, not only is this great for couples in long distances relationships, it’s also great if you are traveling due to work, and even military families!
As years went by, things changed and ideas turned into actions. The light from the pillow turned into a heartbeat and the ring you wore turned into a bracelet. Nonetheless, a remarkable idea that has actually come to life! It’s taken 5 years, but Little riot actually has gotten the prototypes up and working!
The thing is, Little Riot needs the public’s support! They actually have a chance to put these gadgets on the market. They’re real! But we need people to fund them. Little Riot has until December 10th to reach their goal and then they can be manufactured and shipped all over the world. (Yep,internationally. This is for long distant relationships anyway.)
Little riot is 2/3 to their goal, they just need more help.
Please please pleaseeeeeee, support this great cause and get Little Riot’s Pillow Talk to its goal so they can launch this amazing product! I know out of all the places, tumblr would support this amazing product.
Please spread the word and share this post! And please please please donate!
Check out their Kickstarter page to back up this operation, and make a pledge. Even if its just $5, it’s still a big help to a loving cause. ♡
Sara and books containing incest
so i’m sure you all remember that post that someone made (who i cant remember, i’m so sorry) about sara reading The Cement Garden and it containing some pretty dark incest and then that person who reblogged it saying they once calculated all the incest books she’s read (again, i cant remember that person either, i’m sorry). WELL ANYWAYS it got me pretty curious about her readings so i decided to go through SKQ reads and a few other books she’s read to figure out which contained incest and i think you’ll find my findings (???) interesting
so apparently there’s a total of 79 books on SKQ reads (not including magazines) so i went through those and a few others that she’s mentioned like The Hotel New Hampshire, etc.
These are a list of books that she has read that contain incest in any way:
The Man Without Qualities by Robert Musil
The Sense of An Ending by Julian Barnes
Gone Girl by Gilian Flynn (hints at incest)
Far From the Tree by Andrew Soloman (interviews victims of incest)
Love, Dishonor, Die, Marry, Cherish, Perish by David Rakoff
The Hotel New Hampshire by John Irving (also tegan’s fav book and author)
Fall on Your Knees by Anne-Marie MacDonald
The Cement Garden by Ian McEwan
The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach (tegan has read this too)
Now here’s a list of AUTHORS that she’s read OTHER books from, but they’ve written these ones containing incest (she said she likes to read multiple things by the same author so who knows if she’s read these or not):
Burning the Days by James Salter
The Stories of Nick Adams by Ernest Hemingway
Kafka On the Shore by Haruki Murakami
Yellow Dog by Martin Amis
The Accursed by Joyce Carol Oates
You Must Remember This by Joyce Carol Oates (incest between teenage niece and her uncle)
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
The Castle in the Forest by Norman Mailer (about Hitler having incestuous parents)
This Side of Brightness by Colum McCann
Canada by Richard Ford (her fav author so you know she’s read this)
Last Night on Twisted River by John Irving (tegan’s fav author so you know she’s read it)
~also, J.M. Coetzee wrote letters to another auther (Paul Auster) and some of the letters talked about incest so you know that J.M. has, at least, opinions about the subject. (these letters are to be published as a book soon, that’s why this is included)~
SOOOO that’s it for now. if i’ve made any mistakes, or you’d like to add to this list, or you’ve read any of these books, or whatever, please feel free to add to this post.
ALSO, credit goes to those two bloggers i mentioned earlier for inspiring me to do this research. thank you.

I think I love this gif so much because it’s Sara hanging all over Tegan. You rarely see that.
Plus, look at Tegan’s little smile. She is loving that shit.
once when i was little, i claimed it was a teacher’s work day so i wouldn’t have to go to school and mom’s not an idiot so of course it didn’t work, but when we got to the school, we found it was a teacher’s work day and that made me think i had super powers so i started trying to kill classmates with my mind to confirm the theory
You thought you had super powers so you immediately attempted to murder everyone
go big or go home
Well i mean school was out so they obviously went home no?
