We’d like to make it very clear that this blog supports the Black Lives Matter movement. We stand in solidarity against the racism and systemic injustices against the Black community. Our blog does not tolerate discrimination of any kind, but in the light of recent cases, it would be complicit of us not to speak out against the oppression of the Black community.

Another relevant issue relating to Korean culture and its subsequent export to Western audiences–in the form of “K-Beauty”–is colourism that arises directly from anti-blackness. Take some time to read about this in these articles (not all focusing on Korean culture specifically);

This is by no means a complete directory of resources that you should check out. There links are more often than not introductory resources, please put in the extra effort to find more resources to help educate yourselves about the racial discrimination against the black community and how that festers in our own communities. Please try to be proactive in this struggle against systemic racism and remember that all non-black people profit from anti-blackness, irregardless if you are a person of colour or not.
