Valentines | Fabrevans
Sam smiled at his reflection, his fingertips quickly fixing the little wisp of hair that was sticking out of place in his perfectly side swept Bieber fringe. Today was Valentines Day, and Valentines Day was different from any other normal day, because it was the day of love, and sharing your love with someone. His someone just so happened to be Quinn Fabray, the most beautiful girl at McKinley and in the whole world. Sam felt like the luckiest guy in the world, but that was because he probably was. He couldn’t help but be excited about their first valentines date, even if he would probably make an ass of himself by falling face first onto the ice. That didn’t really matter, though. Not when he got to hold his girlfriends hand and act like one of those sappy couples in every teen romcom.
The walk to Quinn’s house didn’t take long, and soon enough Sam’s knuckles were tapping against her front door. He pulled his chapstick out of his pocket, quickly applying it to his trouty lips before Quinn opened the door. As it was a romantic holiday, he was sort of expecting there to be quite a bit of kissing, and the last thing he wanted was for his lips to get chapped. That wouldn’t be romantic at all.
When the door finally opened, Sam couldn’t stop the Cheshire Cat type grin that spread across his face. “Hey, babe! You look beautiful,” he said softly, leaning in to kiss her cheek before extending his hand for her to take, so that they could finally head to the ice rink.
“One of my many gifts,” Quinn joked lightly with a smile. She wasn’t even sure why she said it other than it had rolled off her lips as easy as her smile. It was one of those strange effects Sam had on her; things just tended to come out even if they were overly cheesy. A result from the feeling that she was floating high on some cloud.
Without a thought Quinn took his hand slightly dejected that the cold weather had forced them both to have to wear gloves. The fabric kept her from being able to feel the warmth in his hand but she still took comfort from the gesture. From the fact that the blond next to her was hers alone.
Shyly Quinn peaked a look over at him still unable to believe they were going on their first Valentine’s date. Sam was worried about making a fool of himself, Quinn knew that, but she couldn’t help but be giddy with her excitement. Ice skating was something she had loved as a girl and couldn’t wait to share it with him. “I hope you don’t mind I left part of your gift at home for later, but for now I have something else for you.” She told him a sly smile blossoming across her lips.
