"Housemates gotta stick together," Clara promises to Emily with a melodic giggle that wrinkles the corner of her nose as she heads down the hall in the direction of the rooms most of the inhabitants of Greystone occupy. Only a few had made it to the second floor and one would now be in the west wing. A quick shudder rolls down her spine at the thought of Dominic, but she quickly pushes it down to replace the bright grin upon her lips.
Stopping before a door, Clara turns the knob and steps to the side to allow Emily access to her own living quarters. âAnd this is you. You can pretty much do whatever ya like to the place. To decorate, ya know.â
"Yeah I guess so." Clara seemed nice, but Emily wasn't going to trust her so easily. Still, it was better than some of the people she had to deal with in the past so she decided to count her blessings. "You mind if I ask how long you've been here? At Greystone I mean." Perhaps she's been there for a long time and that was the reason why she was comfortable enough to appear friendly. Being stationary for long periods of time tended to allow people to let their guard down, as Emily discovered.
She stepped into the room, allowing her bag to roll off her shoulder and plop onto the floor. It was a decents size and at least she didn't have to share it with anyone as far as she knew. "I can do anything I was to it?" A quieter window would do--one that would make it easier for her to sneak out of if necessary--as well as another exit in case of an emergency. And she needed a place to keep all of her stolen money too.
