I'm not about the moments where Eddie is grumpily pedantic about things (cause that's Stan's job)
I'm about the moments where Eddie actively occasionally says dumb things, but it's okay cause no one in the losers makes him feel ashamed for not knowing something. I'm about Eddie who initially holds back from asking questions to avoid sounding stupid but eventually developing to confidence to just ask cause he knows that even of there's a little bit of teasing, that it's safe and okay
Let Eddie be a little dumb sometimes cause frankly he deserves those moments and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible
me: i hate cliches in literature, especially ones about characters. they’re so boring and predictable and they ruin my enjoyment of it completely
writer: they’re all social rejects but together they find comfort and joy in each other’s company
me, sobbing: they’re all social rejects but together they find comfort and joy in each other’s company
you're on your own kid, taylor swift / it (2017)/ it chapter two (2019)
Give me Richie and Eddie being closer with each other than with any other Loser.
Give me Richie and Eddie who have sleepovers and late night hangouts without any of the other Losers knowing.
Give me Richie who climbs in through Eddie's window every second night, at exactly 11pm and give me Eddie who is always up and waiting with nervous and excited butterflies that he wishes would go away.
Give me Eddie who's snort can't be contained every time Richie falls on all fours when he climbs in bc he keeps forgetting about the part of the windowsill being too high so his foot get stuck.
Give me Richie who blushes and calls him an asshole for laughing and reminds him that he's going to wake his mum up.
Give me Eddie who excitedly goes through Richie's backpack to see what he brought to entertain them with that time.
Give me them just enjoying each other's company as they read comic books and listen to music. Or maybe they just talk while they lay shoulder to shoulder on Eddie's bed, trying to discreetly touch the other without making it too weird or too awkward bc boys aren't supposed to want to hold hands with other boys and they aren't supposed to be in bed with their best friend like that.
Give me Eddie who blushes from head to toe every time Richie bumps their shoulders or gets too much into his personal space to tell him something incredibly exciting that makes his blue eyes sparkle.
Give me Richie who stumbles through that same window at 1am every time after they exchange a hug that lasts a bit too long and a promise that Richie would be back with more fun stuff. Cheeks red, heart beating like crazy, face aching from smiling so much.
Give me Eddie who lays back in his bed that has the smell of his best friend still there and it's so comforting that he falls asleep faster than the nights when Richie doesn't come over. Content, happy, warm all over.
They never tell the other Losers. They never wanted to. It was an unspoken agreement. Their little secret. Too intimate to share. Too special for the town like Derry.
the fact that Richie was the one who made the V on Eddie's cast in the book makes me want to die in the best way possible.

Why is IT (2017) such a comforting movie? It shouldn't be, it's a show about a murderous clown traumatizing a bunch of abused children in a small town in Maine. I didn't grow up in the '80s or in the USA, I never had a group of friends so none of this is nostalgia-based, but every time I watch it, I feel so warm inside. It's like nostalgia for something I've never known.
reddie is great because their bickering doesn’t have an undercurrent of toxicity it is legitimately their love language. they are fr the EPITOME of arguing like an old married couple except they’re an old married couple that still argue like middle school boys
“I can fix him” I can make him come back to his hometown after 27 years to fight a fucking clown
I don't think they'd be friends I think Eddie Kaspbrak would cyberbully Eddie Munson
why they look like so funny
I made it into a neon shitpost
i hope that Edward Francis Kaspbrak, who, if he eats a cashew, could realistically die and who, as soon as his stupid crush said that the shower caps were ridiculous, took his off instantly and who, in spite of drinking only water with his meal, decided to act like he was drunk enough that he could say shit like, "let's take our shirts off and kiss!!" to the won't-admit-it love of his life without fear and who laughs through the fear of his childhood bully stabbing him in the face and who talks to himself to cope and calls himself Eds when he's afraid because that's what Richie calls him, Richie who says he's, "braver than you think" and who would die for his friends again and again, knows that he has my entire fucking heart.
