So I dug around in my files after I posted my reply, and I found my recording of the line in question. Given your response, I thought it might be of interest to you to actually hear it said aloud. Tumblr doesn't let me upload videos in reblobs though, so I have to @ you in a new post (hope you don't mind).

There's certainly a number of interpretations one could get from looking at all of his lines as a collective. Opens up options for portrayal in fanworks.
