Thc oil and depression

ok so I need advise please! I’m serious considering trying to get treatment for depression. I’ve never spoken to a doctor or been on antidepressants but have always stuggled with the basic signs of depression. One of the aspects I want to combat is how unmotivated I am even to do things I typically enjoy. I spend most of my time in bed and I haven’t found a way to get out of it. My boy friend says he would help by getting me thc oil when I mentioned I wanted to get antidepressants. I looked it up and mostly articles about using cbd oil but I’m just confused on the difference. I would really like to also know what strands are best for my situation. If any one has any experience with this please message me. I really need outside advise. Thanks!!!
