i don't block people over what ships they like, but despite being a multishipper i don't ship everything.

the one hard rule i beg of you to follow is to not rope me into drama, discourse or other online squabbles, especially if they don't involve me or if they solely relate to fiction, ships, or other harmless, inconsequential garbage. if no one's getting harmed, there's no need to lose your mind over it. i'm getting old, and while i love fandom culture, i also understand that fandom drama is often silly and unnecessary.

summer is always very difficult for me, and until now i couldn't understand why. i thought it was just the heat getting to me (we easily reach 35C and higher over here) but now that i'm in a better space compared to the last few years i can understand why a little more easily: the worst events i've faced in my life have happened in the summer. i can count at least three relationships in which my needs were often disregarded, my boundaries infringed, my identity re-written and forced upon me, and they all got much worse through summer months, coincidentally. including the relationship i left last year, in which i would often dissociate during sex because my partner at the time wanted it and i didn't, and if they didn't get what they wanted they'd throw a pity party, crying until i'd force myself to please them. on top of this, the peak of an old friendship's toxicity was almost exactly two years ago. between hours of berating me on the daily, sleep-deprivation, forcing me out of interests, not allowing me to take breaks and getting upset when i said i wanted to see my irl friends or visit my sister, i was subjected to over a year of emotionally draining manipulation and mistreatment, until i broke in the summer of 2024, to the point where my immediate family was concerned after a particularly intense meltdown. and worst of all, i can recall at least two instances of online grooming that happened when i was a teenager, disrupting my summer vacations between middle school and high school, and there could be more that my mind is actively blocking out.

it's as if i'm living through a strange form of seasonal depression that hits me twice as hard as my usual thoughts, through the months people usually spend enjoying their summer, having fun, going on trips, the likes. i can barely keep myself together. i can't stop thinking back on what i lived through. and, of course, the heat does not help in the slightest. i've been "off" for most of the day, in and out of dissociative states, moving in autopilot, dealing with a very foggy brain. i can tell im about to enter a really difficult moment, it might be a week, it might be a month, it might be more. i just need reassurance, i think. i'm not used to talking about my issues with people because i don't want to be a burden or a bother, but i fear this time it might be necessary. i don't want to be left alone with my thoughts anymore.
