Sooo... I think just one person here knows that I've been planning on doing a Final Fantasy VIII Fanzine.

I've made some designs, promo art, the key colors, the social medias, even a discord server, and were working on Interest Check form.

My first idea was to do a charity zine. It's cool to help people while drawing and writing your fave characters. But as time goes on, I'm increasingly hating working with art, and, wether we like it or not, a fanzine IS a job.

And for those who don't know, I am changing careers. I'm back in college, doing a lot of work, I'm starting a scientific initiation project, and I'm also still working with art to help support myself.

I have been a freelance my entire life and I have to tell you, I can't bear to manage others peoples money for physical zines, specially with a high quantity of money. I know I don't need to be the Finance Mod, but even so it's a headache. I used to have an online store on the past, and I know it can be hard work sometimes, and as I said, right now I am hating working with everything art related...

But still, I wanted to actually do a charity to some organization, specially with the themes of the game (war, abandonment...) So, to not suffer another burnout in my life, I am still deciding if the zine will be available with a minimum 1$, or just free for everyone! And also I was also planning on launching an interest check and open mod apps on Squall's birthday (23th August), but since now I still undecided...

Anyway, if anyone is planning to actually do a charity zine for FFVIII, we can also talk, if you need help, I can help promoting it (as I said, I have some old arts to promote it). But yeah, just wanted to make everyone know whats going on. The zine is not cancelled, it's on hold or something

Remake Of JRPG's Most Iconic Dance | Final Fantasy 8

Seeing Squall and Rinoa’s iconic "Waltz for the Moon" dance scene recreated like this just proves one thing: we desperately need a Final Fantasy 8 Remake.

This beautiful fan-made concept perfectly captures the nostalgia and magic of their first meeting. A huge shoutout and credit to @FusionVerseProduction for pouring so much talent into bringing this scene to life!

Seeing this really begs the question: if Square Enix finally gives us a Final Fantasy 8 Remake, how should they handle the release? While FF8 doesn't quite have the massive expanded universe or sheer scale of FF7, the core story is still incredibly hefty. Personally, I think breaking it into a solid two-part series would be the perfect way to do the world justice without dragging it out.
