Syverson’s heart was racing, pain shooting up his side. Yet, he could not stop not until he knew you were safe. He tried to block all thoughts out solely focusing on the mission but he could not help berating himself for being so careless. He hoped you were alright, he hoped they were not hurting you. He wanted to make it right again.

The sky had brightened a bit making it easier to find traces of your kidnapper. He and Dylan had been riding the entire night. Thankfully the rain had stopped, not washing away all the clues. Instead he was left with mud. Thankfully it made it easier to track you. The horse prints he found, he was sure were the man’s horse. They were riding west. He frantically thought about where you could be taken to. Dylan pulled his horse up next to him. “They are going west,” he sounded confused, “why? There is nothing there.” “I don’t know.” Shaking his head. “But it doesn’t matter Dylan, we just need to find her.” He spurred his horse on.

He was definitely a football player in Highschool, even when he was a teenager he was bigger than anyone else. When you first got together you were a bit nervous going to his games. But also super excited at cheering on your boyfriend. You would run towards him after the game and he would lift you off the ground spinning you around.

“We won baby girl.” He would always claim: “All because of your cheers!”

“You were amazing out there!”

Afterwards you both would go out for fries and milkshakes. Neither one of you ready to go home. Sometimes you would sneak in a make out session. He would always order for you. Already he knew what you liked. It made him feel all manly. You always giggled when he wrapped an arm around you puffing his chest out while ordering. Like Yeah I am the man ordering for his girl. (He was still so young. Trying to prove to all that he was a strong man)

The first time you told him you love him he got all choked up. But if you would ever bring that up in front of anyone else he would deny it. However, the truth was he that night when he went home he cried a little. He comes from a military family and his parents were not good at expressing their love. So when you nervously took his hand laying it on your heart he felt his heart pound a million miles a minute. “I love you Sy.” He had been so caught off guard that he just stared at you. Before pulling you close to him kissing him with all he had.

There was no way she was letting Syverson leave with her. Hastily she made her way upstairs to the attic, her head spinning with rage. Her father always warned her about one of the loose shelves there, smirking she zeroed in on it. She might have been a bit crazy for this but she climbed onto it jumping once up and down. It gave a loud creak and found herself on the floor with the shelves broken. Smirking to herself she quickly made her way downstairs. But the truck was gone. Rolling her eyes, she ran inside again to grab the phone. He is not getting off that easy, she thought. Pulling out a notebook with all the workers numbers on it she dialed Syverson number. It rang three times before she finally heard a “Syverson speaking.” “Hey Captain Syverson. I could not find you anywhere and your truck, it was gone and then the shelves came down and oh gosh my papa will be so mad at me-” She rambled off quickly. She deserved an Oscar for this, she thought. “Wow, wow, hold on there Y/N what shelves came down?” Taking a deep breath, she smirked to herself. “I was bringing stuff up in the attic you know from the barn fest and there are some shelves that are not the best anymore. I don’t know how I managed it but they all came down.” She almost sobbed into the phone. She had too much fun with this. “Are you hurt?” He interrupted, his voice more commanding. “No, I am fine. Just a bit shocked. I- My papa told me to be careful and it all came down.” She made sure her voice sounded panicked again. “But you are okay?” “Yes, can you help me please?” She whispered desperately. There was a pause on the phone when he finally replied. “Yeah I am on my way.” She wanted to yell out in joy but kept it in. “Oh my gosh, thank you Captain. I owe you.” With that she hung up, smirking to herself. It worked perfectly. Now she just needed to make sure that no one was going upstairs to the attic until Sy came. Quickly she checked that no one was around but it seems like Trin and Karl were still in the city and her father must be somewhere by the horses. Fate was on her side.

She went to the bathroom looking at herself. She had some dirt on her shirt but else she looked good. Promptly she applied some chapstick, pulled her hair up and her shirt a bit down. The familiar sound of Syversons truck rang out. Action, she thought. She ran outside, seeing Syverson pull up, a relieved look on her face. Beate was nowhere to be found. Y/N had to suppress a smirk at that, perfect. Walking up to his truck she said: “Thank you so much Sy. I am so sorry calling you back. Were you already on your way home?” She rambled. He had gotten out of his car, pulled out his tools from the back of his truck and grunted out: “Don’t worry. Fixing is what I get paid for.” Not the answer she was hoping for but at least he was smiling at her. She just nodded. “Now show me where to.” She turned around walking to the house. All of the sudden she felt a bit awkward. It was an impulsive decision to break the shelves. All she had felt was hot blood in her veins and the desperate urge to have him near her and away from Beate. “It is just up here, the ones in the back.” They took the last steps up to the attic, Syverson trailing behind her. “My papa always said to be careful here.” He was just listening, only responding in nods and grunts, which made her nervous and frustrated. She had thought that if she could catch him alone he would be less distanced but he was not. Syverson got to work immediately. “Your dad was right.” He looked at the boards, they were almost rotten through. It would be best to get new ones. “You should be careful here.” He turned to her. She was looking at the floor, tears sprang to her eyes at his apparent apathy. Gosh this was so stupid. Now that her adrenaline had calmed down she was mad at herself for doing something like this. Obviously if the Captain would have liked he would have spent time with her and for fucks sake he was not even properly talking to her. She just hated being ignored by a man like him. “Sorry,” she mumbled out, “I guess I was just not paying attention. Had other things on my mind.” She shrugged. She heard a sigh come from Syverson and footsteps coming closer. “I thought you said you weren’t hurt.” His voice was softer. Looking up at him in confusion he pointed down to her knee. It was scraped and a bit of blood ran down her leg. “Oh I didn’t even notice.” “Common, let’s get you cleaned up. Nothing I can do for these shelves. I will have to get new ones.” Her shoulder slumped even more at the thought that her papa would find out about this. She really did not think this through. Nodding she followed the Captain downstairs to the bathroom. He pulled out the first aid kit from under the sink and nodded at her to sit on the counter next to it. She quickly complied, feeling the burn of the cuts. Syverson was kneeling down in front of her and she instantly wished she had worn a skirt. Hastily she tried to suppress that thought. The voice in her head had caused enough chaos for one day. He cleaned the cut as gently as possible but it still stung making her hiss and pull back. Syversons hand shot out, holding her by her calf in place. His hands felt warm, big and rough on her just like she remembered. Smiling to herself she allowed herself to admire the Captain. His eyes were concentrating on the task at hand, cleaning and bandaging the cut. He had beautiful eyes, and his hair had gotten longer. “Are you growing out your hair?” She could not stop herself from asking. He casted a quick glance up, smirking at her pouting form on the counter. “Gave it no thought. Guess I didn’t have time to shave it.” Humming she continued to stare at him. His hand on her calf started to rub circles on her soft skin. It reminded her of yesterday when he snuck into her bedroom to tuck her in. This morning she thought about it with giddiness but now she was just sad. Playing with her nails she looked away. The Captain was all done and stood up. She guessed he would go now, to her that Beate and do whatever, not interested in some farmer's daughter. Tears sprang anew in her eyes which made her even more mad.

She never lost control like this. Suddenly his arms wrapped around her and she immediately buried her face in his chest, letting out a small sob. His hands stroke over the back of her head down to her back rubbing it gentle. “You are okay darlin’ it was just a little scratch. Gonna be healed in no time, okay?” He was trying to comfort her which made her feel even worse especially because it was not even the thing that bothered her. Hopefully he would never find out that she did this on purpose. “It is probably the shock wearing off right now. So it is best you eat something and drink a bit.” He started to pull back but so she quickly tightened her grip around him, pressing her face harder into his chest. She could feel a chuckle leaving Syversons chest. “Common now baby girl. I am sure Trin has some cookies somewhere.” The pet name sent tingles down her spine. She knew she could not stay like this forever and she had already taken up more of his time than she should, so reluctantly she pulled back. “She thinks I don’t know but they are in the cupboard on the highest shelf next to the fridge.” She wiped a tear away that had escaped her eye and got down from the sink. “Alright then to the kitchen it is.” He led her out of the bathroom with one hand on her lower back guiding her to the kitchen. Before she could climb up the counter he had wrapped an arm around her pulling her back to his chest and leaned up grabbing the cookies. “We don’t need another accident happening.” He commented. Rolling her eyes when he handed her the cookie she sat down on the kitchen chair. Syverson shot her a dark look warning her not to roll her eyes again. Smiling sheepishly she started to eat her cookie. What was it about this man that he could put her in her place with just a look? After a while Y/N breathed out a: “Sorry for the mess Sy.” He waved his hand dismissively. “Don’t mention it. Just be more careful the next time okay?” He nudged her. They looked into each other's eyes, his were softer making her heart flutter. She could not take her eyes off him when suddenly they heard the front door open and her father come in. Shaking her head she reminded herself why she was in this situation she wanted to make him regret casting her aside like this. The voice in her head came back in full force. Quickly she got up, the footsteps of her father coming closer. She leaned up grabbing Syversons head, pressing a small kiss to the corner of his lips. “Thanks daddy.” She whispered, stepping back just as her father entered the kitchen and Syversons eyes darkened. “Hey papa.” She skipped over to him hugging him. “Hello little peach. Syverson I thought you had gone home?” She watched him clear his throat trying to regain some composure. “Yeah I-” He casted a quick glance at her, she was looking at him innocently, daring him to do something. “I decided to look at the shelves in the attic. Last time I was up there they looked pretty bad. In fact they came down as soon as I touched them, sorry Y/F/N. I will fix them up tomorrow.” You were trying to suppress a snicker at Syversons lie. If he was willing to lie about such a small thing, what else was she able to get out of him then? Y/N wondered. “I am off now papa. Need to take a shower.” You were almost out of the room when you threw Syverson a mischievous glance with a smirk on her face. “I hope Beate could find another ride back home.” Smirking she added: “Good night Sy.” With that she was off basking in the emotions she could see flickering in his eyes, surprise, realization and then anger. Let the games begin.

It’s a small chapter but I did not feel all to good this week. Hopefully I will be able to write more tomorrow

Syverson and you had made your way to the horse quickly, leaving the place well behind you. Syverson did not want to risk anyone coming for you. He had kept a tight grip on you, an arm securely around your waist. Before you had stiffen at the contact but now it gave you some comfort. Even though your tights were still sore you did not complain, nor groan when you sat atop the horse again. Solely concentrating on the feeling of Syverson behind you. You were still shaken by what had happened. But the day was slowly catching up with you and when you stopped to make camp for the night you were more than glad. The sun had not yet set but Syverson could feel how you leaned on him more for support the longer you rode. Slowing down his horse he swept the small clearing you halted at. A stone throw away was a small hollow space in a rock. It was not deep enough to be considered a cave which was lucky for them. What if something was in there? But the small hollow space would give them some shelter. Looking up at the sky he was glad for it. It would be needed. The sky had turned grey and the air heavy with the first sign of rain. He got down from the horse and lifted you off too. You had turned to him slightly, knowing the drill. He grasps you firmly, settling you down on your feet. But when he let go your knees buckled, the energy drained out of you completely. He hastily scooped you into his arms, setting you down near the hollow space. “Here drink.” You were more than grateful for the water. Kneeling down in front of you he handed you his water pouch. His horse nickered nearby. Getting up he walked over to it unbuckling its saddle, and you already missed his warmth. He got the blanket from under the saddle walking over to the hollow space again putting it on the ground. “We will stay here for the night so you can rest. Are you hungry?” He picked you up, placing you on the blanket. Without thinking he stroked a hair out of your face. A small smile pulled at your lips. “Thank you.” Your eyes looked so sleepy, deep circles underneath them. But still beautiful, he thought. Jerking back, he got up making his way back to his horse. Pull yourself together. He flexed his hand trying to shake the feeling of your skin. You were a weak Long-foot. You could not even ride for more than one day without breaking down. Syverson knew it was not fair to you but he did not care. He made his way back with some bread and meat pushing it into your hand. “I will gather some firewood.” He turned on his heels, before stopping turning his head slightly to you. “Don’t run off again.” You shook your head yes before reaching for a small piece of meat. You ate some more pieces when you could no longer keep your eyes open, sinking onto the blanket. Welcoming sleep before Syverson had returned.

On your first date:

When you and the Captain were teenagers. He took you out on a date and ended up causing some mischief. “Quick they are coming”. You both ran as quickly as possible giggling. Syverson’s grandma was watching you both. Finding it quite endearing how young and wild you both were in the moment

When you both ride the subway:

Usually he tried to get you a seat but when he couldn’t he made sure to always keep you close. The sway of the subway rocking you back and forth. He made sure to keep you still and safe but he secretly loved the way you relied on him for it. The feeling of being your rock. You put your head on his chest and each has one headphone bud while listening to some music.

His and yours first time:

You both had been incredibly nervous. But you went up to the lake with some friends. There was a cabin that belonged to Sy’s family and you two had snuck out for some alone time. He had prepared a wonderful picnic, even read you some poetry as he thought girls liked that. There you both kissed and he had slowly pushed you back. It had been magical and a bit awkward but you stayed until the moon had risen and you watched the stars. “It’s beautiful,” you had whispered, laying next to him looking at the sky. “No view could compete,” he had whispered back looking at the girl next to him watching the stars.

Sy POV:

Syverson woke up with the sweetest smell in his nose. A hum leaving his chest. It had been a while since he woke up this slow, feeling warm and comfortable. Even the hard ground could not tamper his spirit. He rolled on his side, his arm extending out meeting soft flesh. Immediately his training kicked in. He jumped up grabbing for his knife. But what he saw made him hold. It was not an attacker but you curled up in a ball next to where he was just a moment ago. You seemed relaxed, your eyes still closed, the crease between your eyebrows gone.

Now that the sweet smell was no longer in his nose he could think clearly again. The sun was just barely showing. He swept his surroundings but as he expected everything was the same as yesterday. He was used to a few hours of sleep but you were still out cold. So he made good work of the time. He got some firewood and got the fire started again. Putting on a new pot of water. They would have to find a water source before riding on. To fill his water pouches. He got out some dried meat and another piece of bread. He sat by the fire drinking some tea and eating his share when he heard some small grumbles coming from your direction. Turning more towards you he saw you wrapping yourself into his cloak more tightly. He felt a smile creeping onto his face, but he caught it quickly, turning it into a frown. Breathing out deeply he got up, poured a new cup of tea and went over to you.

This is based on the coldest night of my life when I was camping, and boiii do I wish that Syverson had been there.

It was the beginning of the new year, snow coated everything in a white blanket. The sun was shining but it was cold maybe a bit too cold to leave the house. Yet here they were distributed into two cars driving up the Alps. A couple of Syverson’s men had convinced their girlfriends to go winter camping with them, to experience a bit of what they did. Well without the risk of getting shot. Y/Ns best friend was the girlfriend of Sgt. Harper. Harper had somehow convinced his girlfriend to go on the camping trip and in turn she had convinced Y/N. Y/N had been on camping trips before, but non that were this cold, usually she spent her summer camping in Italy or other warm regions. Now she was sitting in the back of Harpers car with Y/B/F next to her, Sgt. Chutsky, and his girlfriend in the seat in front of them. Harper was in the driver’s seat and Syverson was driving shotgun. Behind them was another small car with Pvt Matt Ocre, Corporal Enzo and Sgt Burton. Harper, Chutsky and Ocre brought their girlfriends and the others thought it would be a good thing to third wheel. They were currently on leave and had nothing better to do than chase the fight themselves. Only this time it would be the cold instead of a shoot out in the desert.

Holding onto his arm while he drives, making him glad that he bought the old truck with one bench so you can sit right next to him when he takes you on a road trip

When you leave him little notes in his clothes, lunch packs, car, etc. to remind him that you love him

Sometimes when he finds one he sits in the car, tearing up trying to compose himself before going to you, he has not felt this loved ever

it is so domestic and not knowing if you wear anything underneath is so sexy to him

When you are at a BBQ and it is getting late and you give him that little smirk letting him know you are horny, it gets his blood pumping

He cannot watch you eat ice cream, it drives him nuts everytime you lick on it

What can he say, he is hot blooded

Taking you for ice cream on your second date was a horrible idea, he was painfully hard for most of the time and felt like a green behind the ears youth

When you put on lipgloss, leaving a wet sheen on your lips, making him think of when you pleasure him with your mouth

When you get mad at something and your eyes have that fire in them, he will give you his body to work out your frustration

When your body has a sheen of sweat on it after a bit of exercise, reminding him of when he exercises you

When you are all dolled up, looking like a queen, he imagines he is the bodyguard that keeps you safe,

And when people look at you when you are out, it gets him going thinking that he is the only one that can lay claim to you

Sometimes he wishes he could take you in front of these people, shamefully he thinks about this most often with his men when they look at you

He just wants to draw you to him and take you from behind making them see your face drown in ecstasy only he can give you while he takes you roughly from behind

You stormed down the mountain as fast as you could practically fuming. You had no idea why the Captain got under your skin so easily but he did and it made you mad. He wasn’t as amazing as he thought he was and certainly not the gift to women he seemed to think he was. You were ranting in your head for a good half an hour before some semblance of guilt settled into you. Slumping down on a rock you threw your pack in frustration. It did not fall far from you which annoyed you even more. No matter how irritated he made you, your words were harsh. Far harsher than the situation called for. You sat on the rock for a good ten minutes staring into nothing. Thirst still plaguing your throat. You knew it took a toll on Trin and Jason that their best friends did not get along. And you really thought you had made some progress this morning but if you did you had certainly ruined that earlier.

It is finally here. I dunno if anyone remembers this. But anyways part 2. I will write a part 3 dunno when but hopefully this week.

SY POV

Throughout the entire breakfast the atmosphere was relaxed, everyone was laughing and having a good time. Notably, the Captain and Y/N still bickered but it was more like a friendly teasing, their grinns never leaving their face. Leaving the others to wonder what happened. They could guess since you came down with Syverson’s hoodie on but no one commented on it, far too relieved that you seemingly made peace. And Trin was left with a blossoming feeling of hope. It would be good if they got along. Less stress for her and her gentle husband. But there was more. She always had the feeling it would do both the Captain and her best friend good if they formed a bond. The Captain was often stoic and a bit cooky. While her friend had a bit of a gentler side to her. Trin often thought that Sy was too military and her best friend too aloof. They would ground each other.

Soon everyone was gathered outside. Putting on their backpacks making their way up the mountain. Syverson glanced behind him once in a while making sure everyone was good. Well at least that is what he told himself, adamantly denying that it was you he was looking out for. Thinking back to this morning, waking up next to you, had his heart racing.

Summary: Syverson is serving in the army of Mcgregor. They are fighting against an invasion from a clan. He hates them with all his heart. They received word of a security breach that could help them win the war. But the one with the information is a woman in the opposing clan. Syverson is sent to get her.

It was a cold summer morning when he was called into his commanding officers tent. His boots were sinking in the rain drenched grass, creating small squeaking sounds in his path. What could Mcgregor want from him? He had just come back from the Highlands, where he looked at the newest recruits training and reported back just yesterday to him. He still felt the strain from his fortnight riding but it was a familiar ache that had settled in him for almost a decade now. He had joined the cause of Mcgregor to fight against an invading Clan that came over the pond when he was hardly 18. Shaking his head he did not want to think about this right now. He had a new mission to get to, he guessed.

Y/N POV

You were strolling in the market with no particular aim. You had completed your morning tasks and were now yearning for a stroll in the mid day bustle. Sales men could be heard shouting out prices and somewhere down the road some men had already indulged in a good amount of ale singing some song. This land was a bit more unruly than your homeland but it had grown on you. You had to come here when your family was sent to watch over the troops. The thought of your parents sent an ache through you. Your mother had passed from a fever when you were hardly 15. Taking a deep breath you thought about your father, your dear poor father who had only sought to help the workers on the wall only to fall to his death. Not even a month had passed since his death. You did not want to come here in the first place but your father could not refuse orders and they could not leave you behind. So begrudgingly you packed your belongings and sailed into the north-east. The further you traveled the harsher the weather, environment and people became. Now you were the only one left of your family. Awaiting for next week when you will cross the pond again and go back home. Even though you did not know what that meant anymore. It had been years now spent living in the borderlands. The first time you saw one of the vikings with his tall statue, wild hair and beard, the tattoos and covered and furr you could not take your eyes off him. It was unlike anything you had ever seen. Your own country men were tall but slender, their face clear of any hair. A lot of the women here feared the men. They all heard how gruesome they are. But you heard whispers from one or other maid claiming them to be quite exciting. So rough and handsome. But you spared the men, neither your own country or foreign, no mind. You had enough to do with your work, well at least you did. Now you had hardly anything to do. After your fathers death a new family had moved into the Hornburg to oversee it. Pushing you out of your chambers. You could not blame them; they were only following orders but it still stung. Your family had given their life to protect and run this place and now you were pushed out as if you were merely a chess piece. But for now you were enjoying a stroll through the market.
