I’ve finally settled on a design for her and it didn’t even take long!! (brushes 15 scrapped fully colored drawings under the rug)

So I can finally post stuff about her hehe. She’s my favorite Hellside character by far <333 And I’ve got sooo many thoughts about her omg.

But like, those are for other, rambley posts, if I ever post those,,,

Her full outfit aaand some headcanons about her pre redemption arc. I like to think she changed her entire aesthetic a lot throughout her long life, but especially after leaving the church, so I wanted her look before that to be really really different from my current design for her and punk-esque just felt right.

So ... historically accurate child Axe

Lots of clothes pirates wore were stolen from Mariners or bought on land.In short, white sailor shirts, marine uniform coats and flared pants (easy to tuck up when work required) were most common.

Neck scarves were standard for wind protection and gathering sweat, while sashes were used to tie objects to it.

Most common colors were white, gray, tan, blue and green, although sometimes more expensive yellow or red fabrics were added. Purple dye was really expensive and rare, but since we're talking pirates ofc he gets purple.

Hair was usually short with only the occasional wig being long, but that was mostly because hair is hard to take care of. I couldn't get the idea of Axe having relatively long braided hair as a kid out of my head.
