Anxious Anon here! We were asked to give rom teikeda shipper thoughts on 3 going forward so yeah doing that.
I'll be very honest to say that i absolutely despised chapter 3 to 5,the only thing i can give credit to is the voice acting, because they were the only thing that made ne able to go trough it all, i think there's a bunch of things with the chapters that were just for shock value and a rushed story, appart from that the entirety of it just butchered the dear characterization made chapters beforehand with no real development between them, OGURA'S SACRIFICE WAS USELESS AND IGNORED.
Tei's character seems like a very unserious and poorly written character who developed psychosis, demonizing people with the symptom in a really bad way, Tei having psychosis would have been such a good way to add good representation of it but no, it needed to be shock value, and in all honesty the cult stuff was just unnecessary af.
Ikeda's case made no sense, he literally couldn't have done any of that with a broken arm and and a stitched back chapter 3 also butchered the potential ikeda was showing to develop to be someone better.
Shishikura's character was miss characterized horribly with killing anyone already but trying again and then being basically given no consequences was fucked and unnecessary.
Kumada was rushed and died for no reason, in all honesty chapter 3 could have been better with yaita killer and only victim ikeda with kumada being alive.
Also how quickly she was forgotten makes me want to puke.
The deaths on chapter 4 and five are repeated concepts specifically 5 with chapter 4 of pink, and are just again for shock value and boring.

i liked chapter 3 a lot! i had some gripes but for the most part i enjoyed the chapter. i know people prob think i wouldn’t like it cuz ikeda dies but i expected ikeda or tei to die at some point and it was pretty entertaining to watch so. i wasn’t rlly upset at it.
3rd chapter was incredibly dark, but i rlly like dark things so i had a very fun time seeing how things escalated.
i’ve been wanting to say my full thoughts on this chapter for a bit now so i’m gonna use this as an opportunity to ramble below if u want to hear a more raw opinion on it
meow idk how to start this so i’ll go with the motive first since it’s what escalates the events
i thought the motive was incredibly stress inducing, which was very fun to watch. the torture progressing was very stomach churning. specifically electro therapy and the eye eating was soooo yuck! but it was fun in like a fucked up way. hmmm. let’s see. ill start with yaitabashi since he was the prime focus this chapter
yaitabashis arc through this chapter was very interesting to watch, if i’m honest ive never been super keen on yaitabashi up until this chapter, so seeing him in the spotlight helped him go from a C tier to an A tier for me. it’s very sad to see him go from his student spotlight where he’s confident in himself, secure in his relationships, and honestly the true leader of the group to where he was paranoid, unsure of himself and others, and suffering through panic attacks. i felt terrible for him, his electro scene was very painful to listen to. he was so strong through it too i almost thought he might’ve made it out without too much damage. i thought it was cool to see him go from nominating himself for punishments to being angry at the group (rightfully so) for not volunteering at all . and his intense fear of being voted for the lobotomy was sooooo gooodd. i was nervous for him too.. voice actor did amazing with the panic attack scene. it’s very sad the way he ended up, i honestly wish we got a little more of him before he passed. overall i ended up rlly loving yaitabashi, i kinda wish he didn’t die cuz i would’ve liked to see him surpass the struggles thsi chapter gave him. unfortunately he’s in a killing game and was main focus so .. death… 💔💔💔
ikedaaaaa oh ikeda . ofc im sure anyone who’s glanced at my blog will know but him taking teis place for the electro therapy was so everything. those two would do anything for eachother . that torture scene was so brutal , poor ikeda . i felt terrible for him, it makes sense to why he would be motivated to kill , just didn’t think it’d be yaitabashi. i wish i could say more but his story was pretty straightforward. boy had to eat .. i like that he went to teis room to sleep after he did everything. one last night with his skrumbly. i prob have more to say but i just can’t think of anything rn🙂↕️ forgive me
gonna take a second before i go into trial stuff to jsut say the ruka reveal of taking ninomiyas insulin was very shocking, i was wondering who could’ve taken it.. i didn’t suspect her at all! while i don’t rlly get how he knew based on one line she says in a chapter before.. i thought the reveal was very cool. and very upsetting. love ruka so soooo much . and seeing ninos behavior after was very sad. wehhh.
my gripes start with kumada mostly, i find that they underutilized her sooo much. i think if they kept her alive her story could’ve been so good. i have a big soft spot for bpd coded characters so i rlly wanted her story to last longer but alas. 🥲 shishikura killing her was rlly heartbreaking to see when maekawa realized. i’m sure he probably thought she’d cover for him XD sorry shishi . i think it’s also rlly funny to have him stay in the game after i know his ass was tweaking when monomoko explained that.
another gripe i have is the whole twist with ikeda. now honestly, if they had set up maybe a scene with ikeda and ninomiya maybe him showing ikeda how he does things i would be more forgiving. (n if he did forgive me.. but i don’t remember anything like that) but i think the idea of ikeda “i don’t know how to use a rice cooker” daiki being able to dye his hair completely white and wear eye contacts is very silly. i can’t put on eye contacts tho, so maybe he’s just better than me LOL. in any case the twist itself was very fun! teis reaction was so sad, and being unable to see ikeda at the end omfggggggg it was so good. it was so tragic. FUCK. love tei. i wish we got a litttlee bit more sincerity from ikeda with tei but what we got was pretty good. it would’ve been funnier if ikeda was second killer and shishi was first but im pretty bias , shishi isn’t rlly a fave for me so.. zzz…
i kinda wish we got more scenes of the other characters being stressed abt the motive but i guess when ur not one of the main mfs being voted for it, ur not gonna be too shaken up abt it. i guess. LOL
if i had to say which chapter was the weakest for me, so far it’s chapter 4. i didn’t rlly enjoy that chapter much besides tei. chapter 2 is my personal favorite chapter, motive was good, interactions were wonderful.. but depending on how chapter 5 goes (im not done yet .. 🥲) it may be chapter 5 cuz i like a lot of the interactions in 5.
2>3>1>4 is my tier list atm. tho its subject to change. i don’t remember chap 1 too well. that one might be higher than 3 if i rewatch. idk.
