Mexico is no more(until Wednesday at least)

So my mom and I planned this week away to an all inclusive resort in Mexico. We were supposed to leave this morning, but our flight was cancelled due to snow. I'm looking out my window right now, and there is barely any snow falling, so my only question is why? Why did our flight get prematurely cancelled? It's like when I was back in school and they cancelled school a day ahead, woke up the next morning to find the sun and pretty much nothing else... It had barely snowed whatsoever! Well now, my mom is on the phone with anyone and everyone that might be able to give us an earlier flight to Mexico, and I just really hope we can somehow get a break! We both really need it with all the shit that's been going on lately. We were going to sit on the each, learn to salsa dance, take bartending classes, and enjoy the wine and liquor dispensers and full minibar in our room while we relaxed. But now, that's all ruined and I can't help feeling really sad about it. That's two vacations in one week to fall through for me (the other being plans to go to Disney) All of this is just another thing to add to the sit pile that has been my life lately.

When did the word "no" become a bad thing? If a girl says no to sex, she's a prude or a tease. When a guy says no to a drink or a joint he's a pussy? When parents tell their children no, they are unfair, mean, and terrible parents for making their kids cry. Society today seems to hate the word "no" and it's come to a point where it's a real problem. I, personally have no problem with the word. If a guy asks me to do something I don't want to do, I would rather say no than go right ahead and go against my better judgement. I no longer smoke so if anyone asks I will gladly say no to a joint. When I have children in the distant... distant.... DISTANT future, I will not be afraid to say no to the little bastards, in fact, the times I will say yes will be the greatest treasure for the little shits. "No" is not a bad word, it's a word that sets necessary boundaries... Think about it. (Or don't, I don't really give a shit...)

Well. Today I broke up with my boyfriend. I should be upset, but really I'm kind of relieved... He's 23, I'm not even 18 yet (soon though!!) and I started liking this other guy. This other guy and I are not dating (he's a freshman and I'm a senior so it would be hella awkward...) but he is the main reason I broke up with my ex. I really like this freshie, but I don't think he knows...
