“I think I may be able to live with that. Oh I better be. I’m probably one of the best people you know.”
“You better be able to live with that. Well I guess you kinda of are. At least that is what you think.”
robin-macphereson:
It isn’t about filters. It’s about respect. I asked to be called neutral pronouns for a reason. I’d appreciate if you called me that. If you can’t do that for me then it’s just disrespectful and insensitive. So please…No kid. No baby boy or baby girl. If you wanna just call me ‘baby” then whatever, I don’t give a shit. Just…No pronouns please. People are lucky I accept “man” and “dude”.
Well I can’t promise you that I wont call you kid because you are younger than me. But I can accept the rest and I apologize for that and not having a filter sometimes.
sylvester-riggio:
“I um… yeah, w-who wouldn’t?“ he stuttered. Damn this woman, she was so out of his league and left him nervous and stuttering when she paid the least bit of attention to him. “Alright,“ he said with a nod, “And I take it you love your job?“
“That is a very good question.” There was a grin on her lips now. Honestly she enjoyed making him nervous, it was rather entertaining to her but there was something different about him. “I love my job. Its amazing.”
shauntrichards:
“Really, whenever somebody says that I’ve got absolutely no idea what to say,” Shaun murmured with a soft laugh. “It’s like an actual nightmare. I think it’s your turn though.”
“Well I’m from Cloverbrook and I went to New York for college, majoring in business. Thats actually how I met my husband, he had cancer, I still married him anyways. Couple of years later, he passed and he was never married before, and didn’t have any children, so he left me everything.” She told him, while she glanced in front of them now. “I came back home, with more than expected. Brought Les Gentlemen and now here we are.”
robin-macphereson:
Okay. Really? …I literally just said I’m gender-queer…And you then thought it was a good idea to refer to me as a boy…Twice. How…How exactly does that seem okay to you?
Don’t take it personal, I call almost everyone that I know baby boy or baby girl. So don’t take it personal, Robin. You should know that I don’t have a filter on my mouth. I could always just call you, kid if you want me too.
shauntrichards:
“I, uh…” Shaun bit down on his lip a moment, and then said, “Let’s just say, getting caught doing drugs in a theme park for children isn’t the greatest move.” He shrugged, explanation done, there was no real way to elaborate.
“Yeah that sounds pretty bad. I’m sorry for bringing it up.” Rachel wasn’t going to press him on it anymore, cause it did sound pretty bad. “So tell me more about yourself, Shaun. And I’ll share also.”
anna-brooklyn-chase:
“I’d rather not ask them to confirm what I already know is true. And obviously I’m special because I’m me and not most people.”
“Which is that they love me more. You just think you are special, but I guess you are pretty special to me.”
charlottebarclay:
“Still, I don’t like no goodbyes, New York without you was tougher and then Tabitha left and Aaron left –perhaps I didn’t have any other choice but to do it too. I’m fine, I have just fully moved back and mom helped be buy this small apartment in the West… well, not small, but small in the eyes of the Barclay’s. I just wanted to run away from that place, after everyone was gone, it was getting too big of a place for me, it was time to come back. Please don’t worry, this is the last thing I want.”
“Fine, I promise no more goodbyes. Well I’m going to say that I personally love having you back here. Because I missed you. Are you sure that your okay? You know I’m here if you wanna talk. I’m glad that you came back to be honest so it was a good thing that you did. Oh babe, you could have crashed with me, I have a two bedroom apartment on the Shore. Hey, I’ll always worry about you.”
aaron-specter:
“Oh please,” he said, trying to sound incredulous without waking Ellie up. “—do you really think I would ever complain about that?” He chuckled and winked at her, holding her gaze for a moment before a boyish smile appeared on his lips. Rachel didn’t give a shit what people thought of her, and Aaron loved that about her. There was nothing more refreshing than someone who wasn’t afraid of being who they were, and didn’t apologize for it either. He looked down at her when she assured him being stuck with her wouldn’t be a bad thing, but quite the opposite. “Oh yeah?” He raised his eyebrows with a smirk, running the tip of his tongue along his lower lip slowly. “For some reason, I don’t doubt that one bit, baby.” He chuckled, flashing her a teasing smile. “Wait, are you asking me out, Rachel Ward?” He snaked his arm around her waist with a soft, teasing laugh.
“No I don’t think you would.” Holding his gaze now, she couldn’t help but smile. It was real smile not one that she put on for everyone. That was one thing that Rachel never cared about. What people thought about her, she didn’t gave two shits about that, if people didn’t like her then people didn’t like her. She never apologized for who she was and never would. “Yeah. Trust me on that, Aaron.” She said this with a grin of her own now. “Good, you shouldn’t, babe.” Her own teasing smile crossed her lips now. “What if I am?” She asked as she snaked her own arm around his waist. To anyone on the outside, they looked like a family instead of two friends, which Rachel didn’t mind at all.
robin-macphereson:
I’m like…The only gender-queer in town so… That’s pretty special. I’m also smarter than about 90% of the people in this town…Not that that’s hard to accomplish but still counts. And I’m above average in the looks department.
I think you might be wrong about that one, baby boy. Oh you think so? And your looks aren’t so bad, Robin. You got those boyish charms.
sylvester-riggio:
“Really? Somehow I think there’s more of a story,“ he said, “It’s just something… you know, something that’s a bit of a ‘taboo’ I guess and people always expect creepy old man to be owners of such a place. But you’re young and hot and it’s just… what made you decide to open such a place?“
Rachel listened to him speak, raising a brow slightly. “So you admit that your hot for me, Sylvester?” She figured that the answer would be yes, but she was just curious. “I just got back into town, after my husband passed away, and instead of wasting his money on my mother’s crack habit, I decided to buy out the pervious owner, and I did. Gave the place a much needed change.”
andy-jamerson:
Andy had always been one of the boys, even growing up. Throwing her limbs into her brother’s old clothes, scraping her knees on the pavement after skating down a hill too fast. It passed on to so many parts of her adult life, including her sexuality. While the occasional man could spike a flame within her, she liked the way that women so easily understood her stress. And how soft they felt to the touch. She leaned into Rachel a little more before pulling back, smiling at her. “You know – if you wanted to stay for dinner, we’re havin’ mean left overs. Not glamorous, but that’s about all I’ve got to offer in return at the moment.”
Rachel never had much growing up, so whatever she got is what she got. Her mother was always cracked out and working two jobs just to make sure they had a roof over their heads. Her sexuality had been the same since she was younger. Yes, she enjoyed men but there was something about women that Rachel loved. When Andy pulled back, the blonde opened her eyes and glanced back at her now, smiling herself. “I can’t say no to that cause it sounds amazing.”
robin-macphereson:
You implied that you were an option. In my experiences if you found the idea displeasing in anyway you would have lied and told me you weren’t an option. So you obviously find me either attractive enough or interesting enough to have put yourself in a position for me to choose you.
What makes you think your so special to get a dance from me? I may have implied but I’m interested to know why you seem to think your so special to get a dance from me.
sylvester-riggio:
He grinned back at her and took a sip of his beer. “Can I ask you something? I’m not trying to be rude or whatever, I’m just genuinely curious. Why did you open Les Gentleman?“
“Go for it.” Listening to his question, she glanced at him and then took another drink. Setting the beer down on her coffee table, she shrugged a little bit. “Why not? Hot girls, drinks.”
sylvester-riggio:
“Thanks,“ he said and clinked his beer bottle against hers. “To a great night.“
“Your welcome.” She said with a grin as their beer bottles clinked. “To an amazing time.”
shauntrichards:
“Like I said, I screwed it up – kind of so badly I don’t have an option to do it anymore,” Shaun told her, shrugging casually. “And yeah, I guess that you’re right, but we’ll see what happens, right?”
“How bad was the screw up? You didn’t kill someone did you?” Rachel was now curious about what could have happened that he screwed up so badly. “Thats the best thing, just take everything day by day and see what happens.”
robin-macphereson:
Oh…Really? Hm…Then I think I’ve made my decision.
Yeah really. And what makes you think that your so special to get a dance from me?
