Rachel touched down at the airport and picked up her luggage at baggage claim. She made sure her fathers knew she was coming so they would have a car ready and waiting for her. Ubers were the bane of her existence in New York and there they were a plenty. She wasnât going to try and wait and deal with them in Lima too. She was supposed to be on leave after all. A mini vacation of sorts. Like always, her fathers didnât disappoint.Â
âMiss. Berry.â The driver greeted politely. Rachel nodded and thanked him softly as she got in. She gave him Ameliaâs address when he returned to the driverâs seat.Â
It was about a half hour before she felt the car pull to a complete stop and the engineâs vibration come to a halt. To be honest, she wasnât paying much attention to the scenery outside the tinted windows of the car. She had too much on her mind all surrounding her return to the town that was the center of her childhood. And the people in it. But when the purr of the engine stop, that was enough of a change that brought her attention to what was happening around her.Â
Next thing she knew, her door was being opened and the older gentleman that was her driver was tipping his hat and giving her a smile as a farewell. Her two suitcases and satchel were already out of the trunk and at the bottom of the stairs.
âYou need any assistance with your luggage, Maâam?â Rachel gave him a smile back and shook her head to the negative.Â
âNo, thank you. This is my sisterâs house. So, Iâll get her to help me. What are sisters for, right?â Rachel joked. She was glad she got a quiet chuckle of the man. Before she headed up the stairs, she handed the driver a $50 bill as a thanks and tip.Â
Grabbing one suitcase and her tossing the satchel over her shoulder she headed up to Ameliaâs front door. She sent out a text that she was her and rang the door bell.

Excitement. That was the right word that went through Ameliaâs veins as she replied Rachelâs text. It has been a while since she had an encounter with her twin sister and while they talked via phone and video calls, it wasnât the same, she missed hugging her sister, the one she shared their lives since they were on their motherâs womb.
Memories flooded her mind while she got everything ready for her sisterâs stay. She looked at the bed she just made and smiled. Everything on Ameliaâs house was pristine. She had been always like that. Her room was perfect and all the rooms should be like that, even her clothes were organized. Some people would say she had ocd, but Mia was opposed to it.
She was giving the final touches to Rachelâs room when she heard the bell ring. As she headed to the door, she peeked first through the window and her smile became bigger in happiness. âRach!âshe exclaimed as she opened the door, and her excitement was too much because next thing she knew was she was hugging Rachel really tight.
