This is my first draft for my advert for my Cocktail bar. Ive filmed this at Frankie and Bennys where I work. I’m quite happy with it although I feel certain parts need to be a bit quicker and its a bit to long with the part when making the cocktail but its helped me to get more of a idea as to what I want for my advert. I’m struggling to find a song I want to use for my advert that shows the style I would like. I may have to use a song with royalties and just take it off for the online versions of it.

Ive just finnished this design for a logo at a new gym thats opening in Whitefield, Bury

Currently desiging a logo for a gym. Its certaintly different working for a client. Although I’m forever changing things will be nice if my client is actually happy with the logo. Any one have and idea how I can politely say that your asking for a too complex logo and it wont work. But client wants client gets right.

I decide to try out my own typography piece I’m really happy with it. I feel it shows the difference in the street and allows the viewer to look a little closer and see what it is showing.

This is another piece which make the coke appear to almost jump out of the bottle. The use of ‘its a good day’ and other little tag lines I feel would be a brilliant idea to make the street almost come alive

Heres a few ideas of how i could add text onto my images of my street that I have. It allows the information to be still seen even though the imagery features many colours.

I love this idea of creating type within a image. I would also like the way it shows the drink almost being poured I’ve already created some with just the actual drink in I’d like to try this and maybe add words associated with my street and the experience

As my street is ever changing i decided to create see through buisness cards for a event. Using hashtags and social media to help promote the event.

I love the idea of showing a image underneath using acetate which ive used in my book. This would be a good way of showing my street and having something underneath. Im thinking of creating a event for the street where you can try food drinks and cocktails ect. Id create invites and banners for the street.

Ive looked at existing events that have happened in Manchester as to lauch my card I'd have to have a event to allow people to know about the street.

Im not sure exactly how to brand the street itself as i need it to stand out against the street. I think the best way to use social media to create a profile for the street and make it almost secret. 

The branding features a simple layout of stenciled lettering. I would like a much more clean cut layout to contrast against the street itself. Im going to see if can find any other events.

I really like the simple tagline of Spinningfields. I like the bright yellow and simple black writting with the handwritten touch of the tagline 'meet me there x' with the informal x. I feel this makes it more personal and you want to see what there is at this place.

I created a mind map of words associated with my street itself. To help me to create a tagline I've decided to just use several taglines using hashtags and the @ sign to direct people to the twitter page using large lettering to attract them in. I feel this also allows me to show the ever changing side of my street

I really liked the idea of the artery to the Northern Quarter. I dont know how to show this without making my street seem insignificant to the rest of the northern quarter.

I got this in the postbox at my flat and it gave me s idea for creating some loyalty cards/discount cards for my street. As there is many shops and eateries on my street.

Heres a few images of my street I took on Friday its filled with many different cafes and bars (If i wasn't such a poor student I feel some research into how their drinks taste would be a fabulous idea). I love the fly posts all over the lam posts on this street and the random heinz beans. After walking along this street I realized I also came for drinks here a while back I'm going to nosy if i can find a image of my drink! I'm hoping to have another look as I couldn't get the book to load before we went for some inspirational ideas of how to document this street. I may have taken some drinks and food menus also.

Before I upload the pictures I took on Friday I thought I'd upload images I've taken from last year. These were for my final project but as they are of my street. I thought it would be nice to show whats changed in a year. There's a shop that was being built which is now open! The artwork that's on the wall near the street hasn't changed though. I've taken a picture of the lampost which has hopefully changed I'll be comparing these later!

Our little book from yesterday cant wait to get some nice things from thomas street today! Really happy we have a street in Northern Quarter. Should be lots we can get from this.
