Art vs Artist 2025

This year was definitely something, both in my personal and artistic life. Although I would never wish my experiences onto anybody I do believe that I finally found my direction in what I want to create. Happy new year and see you all in 2026.

I decided that this character needed to be dolled up a little more, I highly doubt that there'll be anything to change in the future because I really love how they look. The flower petals in the hair were in the first concepts way back so I'm happy I could bring them back. Overall creating a distinct shape for the hair has done this design wonders. Also removing the rope from the amulet allows it to look less like a medal, and you might be wondering how it sticks to their chest magic. No just kidding, I think the material would be some type of foamy substance but think less plastic and more mushroom adjacent. And now you can actually see the antennae, yay!

My DTIYS entry for @lemonpoet (although it's late I had to do it before the motivation left me.) The original piece invoked a sense of joy within me and I'd love to spread more of that.

I wanted to paint a simple background to serve as an example for my commission sheet, but the more it went along the more I got carried away with details. Making this piece reminded me to take my time with creating and I even enjoyed painting the large firefly. I can't wait to share his story with you, in the meantime you can this lovely scene.

Little color reference for Collab piece. Am I only drawing a mermaid after mermay ended? Yes. Will this be last? Who knows. But since it's Pride and didn't get to do anything for mermay it only felt right. Her name is Maria btw. And she a Wambo like yours truly, like get into the fit😌

Avantika as Stella's Enchantix. This was brought on by the fan casting of her as Repunzel and due to the backlash she faced I wanted to show that I as a Winx fan would be glad if she played our Stella. One of my favorite parts of the Mean Girls movie.
