Rebekah Brooks Phone Hacking
Yesterday's tops news, as determined by the Radaris website, haha.
Top News of July 18 2011
It is pretty interesting though. The first story is about the Rebekah Brooks phone hacking scandal.
A news article by guardian.co.uk states, "Rebekah Brooks was arrested on Sunday under suspicion of conspiring to intercept communications...."
Pretty interesting- Does anyone else have any news on this?
Lady Gaga Nominated for 5 Emmys
Searching through Radaris' recent news, I found this article posted by MTV titled, "Lady Gaga 'Monster Ball' Special Nabs Five Emmy Noms." The categories are something about comedy (does this mean that people think she is a joke...? Yup!). A such, she is competing to win these awards against people like Pee Wee Herman and Bette Milder, who got nominated for their HBO specials.
Actually, her HBO special on her Monster Ball Tour is nominated, not her specifically. Has anyone seen the Monster Ball Tour? What's so special about it?
I Got Lindsay News From Radaris
On Radaris, you can check out the top news stories of the day. Here is how you can find the page:
Just go to our home page and scroll down to the footer
There is a line of dates labeled "News"
click on the date you want; if you want the most recent news, click on "today"
This is where I went to find the most popular news today so far. What came up on top was the newest gossip on Lindsay Lohan. She apparently just finished her period house arrest (which was for a month, right?) and decided to immediately go out clubbing.
The news story on Radaris came from TMZ, which I have to admit, does the best job at sensationalizing these types of stories. I like it. I like it a lot.
You can see a video of Lilo doing her stumble through the mass of paparazzi surrounding her. I feel ad for the girl; yes, she created her own bed, but something still makes me feel bad. I like going to clubs too, and I don't get hounded by cameras. If I did, I would probably stumble around too from all the confusion, embarrassment, and frenzy. The pressure of always looking and acting camera-ready is enough to drive someone insane. But pair that stigma with the cold, hard, judgment coming at her after her house arrest must have made the poor girl more than a little unsteady.
The Debate:
So I have established that i feel torn on this subject; on one hand, I feel bad for Lindsay, and on the other hand, I know she has only herself to blame for the mess she calls her life.
The debate today is, do you think she should have been going to that club right after her house arrest? Was that a terrible, stupid idea only asking for trouble? Or, are you thinking, hey, if I were stuck at home for over thirty says, the first place I'd go would be a club, too! Paaar-taaay!
Which side of the debate are you on?

We Found Anthony Weiner on Radaris
According to CNN Online, Anthony Weiner is the highest rated news story right now:
And here he is on Radaris!
Let’s People Search Bret Lockett!
Over the last week, a new story came out about Kim Kardashian and her supposed affair with Bret Lockett.
Lockett claims in InTouch Weekly, that Kardashian contacted him through phone one day while he was working. Then, she they supposedly began a five-month texting and phoning affair. These are serious allegations for Kardashian, who throughout this time was engaged to be married to Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets. Lockett hasadmitted on CNN that he has never met Kardashian in person.
Those who know me can vouch that Kim Kardashian has been my idol for years now; I absolutely love her! So I am naturally curious to find out who this Bret Lockett is. Embarrassingly enough, he turns out to be a public figure whom I probably would have known if I followed sports at all.
In order to find out who this is, I searched “Bret Lockett” on Radaris. It turned up all the information I needed to find out who this guys is and why he is currently in the public eye.
In the right side panel, Radaris compiles a series of photos of Lockett in the media and from his career. These are all public photos that exist online, which Radaris has collected and associated with the name.
The middle column of search results display Lockett’s primary residences and his relatives. Doing a cross-search on any site discussing Lockett’s background proves that these results are accurate.
Scrolling down the page, I see that Radaris has compiled a comprehensive feed of news stories about Lockett. Most of them are exactly the ones I was looking for; the scandal with Kardashian. This is because Radaris collects the latest breaking news and headlines.
I really like using Radaris to search for news stories because everything I could ever need to see is all there on one page; all the news and pictures I need are compiled a lot more comprehensively than on Google, where I would have to do multiple searches to get all this same information. I got my Bret Lockett story quick and easy!
People Search Your Neighbors… In Case They’re As Bad As Rihanna
Do you remember that lawsuit back in 2009 in which Rihanna’s neighbor claimed she was trespassing on his property?
Radar Online provides an interesting article about the lawsuit from June 2009. Among other things, the neighbor claims Rihanna not only blocked his view of the city with the tall bamboo plants on her property, but she let people walk onto his property. Apparently some of her friends walked over his lawn or his yard in order to get to her house. This may seem like a minor offense to most, but the disgruntled neighbor, Christian Moeller, was so upset as to take the pop singer to court.
Moeller called Rihanna’s presence in the neighborhood a “nuisance”, according toanother article, because of she had a few parties over the months, and she always had chauffeurs driving around.
Rihanna’s neighborly conduct may not be devious, but there are many people who areterrible neighbors. Make sure you don’t move into a bad neighborhood by using ourneighborhood watch tool on the Radaris website.
