Charging my necklace with the Empress and a twig of sage from my garden for protection to take with me on our hiking travels this week ✨
Spell to give some protection to a loved one.
(Gif not mine, ya’ll.)
“Here, put this on. It will protect you. It’s made from the threads your friends wove together.”
I’ve seen some Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli spells but not anything for this, so I took a crack at it. This spell is based on the scene where Zeniba, No Face, Bo, and Yubaba’s bird make Chihiro a new hair tie. But instead of a hair tie, you’re gonna be making a bracelet.
What you need:
Purple thread* and 4 or 5 other colored threads that match (or dont) purple.
Beads and charms (optional)
Picture of your loved one
Candle (tea light works)
*I say purple because in the movie, it’s a purple hair tie and some sources cite purple as being used to drive away evil and negative energy. But you can change it to any colors you want!
What you’re gonna do:
Gather up all your supplies and sit somewhere comfortable.
Light the candle (any color, but if you’ve got a color candle that you use for protection, go ahead and use that one) and place the picture next to the candle and gather up some energy with the intent of protecting this person.
Start making your friendship bracelet. Here’s a tutorial for a traditional friendship bracelet (link). This is one for a twister bracelet (link), this is one for a square knotted bracelet (link), this is for a Chevron bracelet (link). Choose whichever tickles your fancy and start braiding. While you braid the threads, think about your loved one and protecting them. Let every braid carry that protective and loving energy.
Add a bead/charm, or a few, in there if you’d like. Let every bead you add heighten that protection.
When you’re finishing it and knotting it up, use the knots to fasten the protection into the bracelet.
Blow/snuff your candle off or let it burn all the way down.
And you’re done! Give it to your loved one and preferably, be the one to tie it on them!
10 Crystals For Empaths
Crystals have been used for thousands of years to protect and enhance personal vitality. They have the ability to focus energy and generate minute electrical currents that interact with the currents in the human body and environment. Crystals are an amazing way to cleanse, amplify, and protect one’s energy.
As a highly sensitive empath, I absorb energy from everything. Not only am I affected by the emotions and attitudes of other people, but I’m extremely sensitive to things like geopathic stress and electromagnetic stress. This often leads to exhaustion, irritability, and overwhelm.
Geopathic stress: Stress created by electromagnetic radiation, ley lines, and underground water. It’s also present in “sick building syndrome”. Injurious to health, it can affect the immune system as well as the body’s innate psychic protection and may attract ghosts or hold impressions of previous events.
Electromagnetic stress: Disharmony caused by the subtle emanations of electrical, microwave, computer, phone and radio frequencies, as well as power lines.
The following list features 10 of my favorite crystals that have been the most beneficial in managing sensitivities and raising my vibration:
Labradorite
Known as one of the most protective stones, labradorite creates an interface around the aura that filters out energies that are not beneficial and enhances spiritual connection. It allows one to be aware of other’s feelings and emotions without being overwhelmed by them. Labradorite enhances psychic abilities, aligns physical and subtle bodies, and strengthens the aura.
Tip: If you’re prone to nightmares and restless sleep, try holding a labradorite palm stone at bedtime. I sleep with one every night and it has helped me immensely. Just remember to cleanse it in between uses!
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: rainbow moonstone, black moonstone, spectrolite
Celestine
Also known as celestite, this high vibrational stone links one to higher realms and stimulates spiritual insights. It facilitates inner peace, helps to disperse anxieties and calm the emotions while promoting clarity of mind. This beautiful crystal heals the aura, assists in conflict resolution, and helps maintain a harmonious atmosphere in times of stress.
Tip: Try meditating with one of these stones and record any insights you might have in a journal afterwards. I’ve been amazed at some of the profound breakthroughs I’ve had while spending time with this amazing crystal.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: blue lace agate, angelite, phantom quartz, apophyllite
Lithium Quartz
This variety of quartz is a natural antidepressant. Its powerful healing energies gently lift the conditions underlying the depression to the surface, neutralizing ancient anger and grief. It can reach back into past lives to dissolve the roots of emotional dis-ease that is pervading the present life. Lithium quartz is an excellent cleanser for the body’s energy centers and is extremely useful as a healer for plants and animals.
Tip: If feeling lethargic or low on energy, carry a small lithium quartz point with you in your pocket. Lithium quartz can function like an emotional battery for those that are sensitive to its vibration.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: quartz with hematite, elestial quartz, vanadinite, zeolite
Black Tourmaline
Black tourmaline, also known as schorl; protects agains cell phones, electromagnetic smog, radiation, ill wishing, and negative energies of all kinds. Black tourmaline is the most effective block to psychic attack and is extremely efficient at absorbing negative energy. It helps one adopt a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances.
Tip: Black tourmaline is super effective as a gem elixir that can be added to cleansing sprays and used to purify the aura.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: shungite, black kyanite, jet, tourmalinated quartz
Rose Quartz
Known as the stone of unconditional love and forgiveness, gentle rose quartz opens the heart and transforms negative emotions into positive ones. It’s an excellent stone to use during crisis or trauma, as it quickly brings peace. It transmutes negative emotional conditioning and supports positive affirmations. It purifies and opens the heart at all levels and brings deep inner healing and self-love.
Tip: Wear a rose quartz pendant over your heart to promote self-love, tranquility, and emotional healing.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: rhodochrosite, pink danburite, rhodonite, pink petalite, pink kunzite
Fluorite
A strongly protective stone, especially against electromagnetic and geopathic pollution, as well as psychic attack. Fluorite stabilizes energy and shuts off mental manipulation. This stone cleanses and stabilizes the aura. Fluorite grounds and integrates spiritual energies and assists in dissolving illusions and negative mental patterning. Emotionally, fluorite has a grounding effect.
Tip: Place a piece of fluorite on a computer or between yourself and the source of electromagnetic fog.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: amazonite, green aventurine, bloodstone
Smoky Quartz
Smoky quartz is one of the most efficient grounding and anchoring stones. It helps alleviate fears, soothes an active mind, and promotes emotional calmness. This protective stone gently neutralizes negative vibrations, absorbs electromagnetic smog, and blocks geopathic stress. Smoky quartz is a powerful antidote to stress and assists in tolerating difficult times while bringing in positive energy.
Tip: To dispel stress, place a stone in each hand and sit quietly for a few moments. Cleanse the stones thoroughly between uses.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: hematite, smoky elestial quartz, apache tear obsidian
Amethyst
Amethyst is an extremely powerful and protective stone with a high vibration. It guards against psychic attack, transmuting energy into love. A natural tranquilizer, amethyst blocks against geopathic stress and negative environmental energies. Its serenity enhances higher states of consciousness. Amethyst has strong healing and cleansing powers, and enhances spiritual awareness.
Tip: Place a cleansed amethyst point towards you to draw in positive energy, and point one away from you to dispel negative energy.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: ametrine, lepidolite, rutilated quartz, lilac kunzite, purple fluorite
Selenite
Selenite is a high vibrational stone that is said to occupy the space between light and matter. It’s an excellent crystal for repairing and re-energizing the aura. Selenite is a calming stone that instils deep peace and is excellent for spiritual work and meditation. Selenite does not allow outside influences to penetrate. A large piece within the house promotes a peaceful atmosphere.
Tip: Place other crystals, talismans, and pendants on a piece of selenite overnight for cleansing.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: dessert rose selenite, peach moonstone, himalayan rock salt
Carnelian
An excellent stone for grounding one in present reality, carnelian is one of the oldest known healing stones. It energizes and restores vitality to the immune system. Carnelian promotes positive life choices and immense motivation, and assists one in trusting perceptions. This is a useful stone for overcoming negative emotional or mental conditioning. It calms anger and assists in banishing emotional negativity, while sharpening concentration. Mentally, carnelian improves analytic abilities and clarifies perception.
Tip: Carnelian placed near the front door of a home invokes protection and invites abundance.
Stones with similar vibrational qualities: citrine, tigers eye, golden calcite, orange-brown selenite, amber
I hope you find these crystals as beneficial as I do. Enjoy!

Thank you so so much for 350 followers— Hope this list helps inspire someone to do some affordable yet fun witchcraft shopping!
- Goblets or wine glasses serve as chalices
- Frames (you can create a black mirror, or print out pictures of your familiar or pet, or draw pictures of symbols and sigils and insert them into the frame)
- Salt, herbs, and spices
- Jars and bottles
- Mugs for teas and charmed drinks
- Vases
- Candles
- Plates/dishes
- Styrofoam molds (guys, they have some amazing styrofoam stuff??? Heads, balls, wreath shapes, squares, etc. perfect for decorating. You could paint them with a thick, glossy paint to try to cover up the styrofoam look, but it would also look cool with the chipped effect! They’re great for many projects. You could even paint a styrofoam head to hold any amulets/etc. Try cutting a hole at the top and supergluing a crystal in it so that it pokes mostly out, and then even gluing dried moss around it. Or, Painting a styrofoam shape black and then drawing sharpie sigils such as for "the object this holds is cleansed" and then if questioned say you’re just decorating it to "look cooler")
- Bowls for cleansing things in
- Incense
- Matches/lighters
- Stickers
- Seeds
- Bells
- Candle stands/holders
- Fish netting (gives a cool look to many things, especially as a "cloth" for water based altars!)
- Paper bags
- "Gems" and stones (could paint runes or elemental symbols on them, etc)
- Canvases
- Containers
- Twine/burlap and decorative greenery (flowers, fake moss, straw, etc) (you can usually buy burlap in bulk at stores for a better deal)
- Sometimes around fall they have hand sized hay barrels you can set crystals, a candle, etc on!
- Branch wreaths
- Fake vines and leaves
- Glitter (spell jars, sigil decor, etc)
Magickal Folk Names for Herbs
Having knowledge of herbs and plants (either magically or medicinally) during the Middle Ages, often was reason enough to accuse a woman of being a “witch,” so there is no doubt some of the country folk at the time took these herbal folk names literal. Chances are, these names were used merely as descriptors to help remember them easier. Most plants were given names descriptive of their uses and others were given names for something they generally resembled. Spells written by witches in ancient times were often written with such descriptors, which personally i believe to be a form of secret coding.
Here is a small list of “witchy” herb names (most of these are already floating around the community) that you can use in your craft when you create your spells. This list could be a great addition to any Grimoire and i hope you find them as useful as i do.
Enjoy ~~~ Cannawitch

Sweet Cream Buns
This recipe was given to me by a friend awhile ago, and I feel it needs a little more appreciation. They’re super easy to make and are tasty too!
I feel one thing a kitchen witch has to master is their ability to make all sorts of bread. It’s such a staple, and is so versatile. Not to mention how much of a crowd pleaser it is.
This recipe is a tasty bun, that when bitten into, oozes vanilla custard. Whenever I make these, they are gone in the first ten minutes. I tweaked this recipe from one of my good friends who enlightened me on this yummy recipe. I highly recommend you to try these for yourself!
Now in this recipe I will be showing you three fillings that I’m sure you will love!
- Vanilla Custard
- Chocolate coffee cream
- Brown sugar maple custard
Ingredients
For the Dough
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup bread flour
1 cup cake flour
A sprinkle of sea salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 packet of dry yeast
½ cup warm almond milk (Or any type of milk)
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 egg
3 tbsp butter
For the Vanilla Custard
5 tbsp sugar
2 ½ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Vanilla Bean
Vanilla Extract
For the Chocolate Coffee Cream
6 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
½ cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
¼ cup expresso/ brewed coffee
Milk chocolate/ dark chocolate/ Semi-sweet chocolate (Its up to you)
For the Maple Syrup Custard
5 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 ½ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Directions
To prepare: Set your butter and eggs out 10 minutes before you start so they enough time to come to room temperature.
Start by filling a measuring cup with your milk and heat in your microwave for about 20 seconds, or until when you stick a (clean) finger in, it is just warm. If it is too hot, it will kill your yeast mixture. Add your dry yeast in and stir. Let it sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
Next, in a kitchen aid (If you have one) attach the dough hook and mix your flour, salt and sugar together. Now crack an egg into the yeast mixture and add it to the kitchen aid bowl on low speed. Add in warmed cream. Let the dough hook do its magic on medium low speed until the dough is very smooth and elastic.
Add in your butter 1 tablespoon at a time and let it mix until completely smooth. About 4-5 minutes.
Oil a bowl with some neutral oil, or with some butter and place the kneaded dough ball into the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place in oven with the light on, or in a warm area.
Leave it to rise for 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Ok, so now poke your dough and let the gas leak out from the dough. Cut it into equal sized pieces and place cling wrap on it and let it rise for another 15 minutes or more.
In the 15 minutes, now is the time to make your custard cream. On high heat, add your milk and butter and let it come to a boil. Then turn down your heat and whisk in sugar, egg, and flour. Add in your additives (Vanilla, maple syrup. etc.) and mix on low heat until it has reached a thick pudding like consistency. About 6-12 minutes. If you are doing chocolate, here is the time to melt your chocolate in, when it is off the heat. Let it cool completely.
With a rolling pin roll out the pieces of dough and place a dollop of custard in the center. Fold them over and press/pinch the sides together. Repeat the process until all of them are like this.
Place them on a tray and wrap cling wrap over them. Let them proof for about an hour, or until they’ve doubled in size again.
Now with a nonstick pan on medium low heat, place the bun in the pan and cover with lid. Cook each side for about 5 minutes, or until it is a nice golden brown. You can also cook this in an oven. 400 F for 8-15 minutes.
Now your done! Enjoy this hot and cold, they are tasty either way. It will be a little crispy when hot and soft when cold.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
I love you all! My DMs, mail, and comments are always open!

Waters
Hello darlings! Today I really want to talk about magical waters. I’ll start with simple waters, then one ingredient waters, and then composite waters. Waters is pretty much anything like water that is used magically, so it ranges from storm water to tobacco and damiana tincture, and other stuff. Any of these can be collected whenever is convenient, but I added the time to collect them to make them more potent.
Natural Waters
Rain Water:
Rain water can be used for any spell to make it more potent, but it is a useful tool in peace magic, to quell anger, to relax, and for dream magic. Collect whenever you want.
Storm Water:
Storm water can be either protective or offensive. Use it to wash down your doors to protect you from hexes, and wash your tools with it to amplify their power. You can use it in any hexes or curses you want. To amplify it, add rusty nails to it and let turn rusty. Collect on a waxing gibbous moon.
Swamp Water:
Can be used in works for binding, hexing, or cloaking. Use when wanting to cause illness. Annoint yourself with swamp water to make yourself unnoticeable to others. Colelct on the dark moon (second new moon of the month) or on the new moon.
Marsh Water:
Marsh water is almost the same as swamp water, but it is more suitable for cloaking than other things. It can also be used for cleansing negative energies. Colelct on waning crescent moon.
Hail Water:
Hail water is melted hailstones. Use it for protection or hexing. Similar to storm water, but more aggressive. Use when you want to break sojmeone, or when you wish to cause physical harm. Collect during a full moon for best results.
Salt Water:
Salt water can be used for cleansing and protection from negativity. Simply add salt to water.
Sea Water:
Use sea water in works involving the psyche, or in hexing. It can also be used for cleansing. I use it to work with demonic forces as well. Collect on a new moon.
Lake Water:
Lake water is amazing in works concerning emotions, love, memories, or past life regressions. Boil it and drink it to enhance attempts for past life regressions. Collect on waxing moon.
Pond Water:
Use when wanting to bind someone, or to limit their horizons. Keep a flower vase with pond water in it on a table to silence a conversation to those not sitting at it. Collect on a dark moon.
Spring Water:
Spring water is super versatile. Use it instead of tap water.
Dew:
Dew can allow the witch to cast powerful glamours for beauty and youth. It is an important ingredient in love potions. Collect at sunrise during a waxing or full moon.
Self Water:
Fancy word for spit or urine. This one is a little nasty, but it is to be used whenever a spell needs to be tied to the caster.
Simples
Sun Water:
Bask any sort of water in the sun for a full day. Use it for cleansing, to bring positivity into a space, or for glamours of youth.
Moon Water:
Used to power up any spell. Let water sit in the light of a full moon for a full night.
Tobacco Water:
Steep tobacco into water for a week in the fridge. When strained, mix with 100 proof vodka, about 1.5 parts water for 1 part vodka. Use it to cleanse or to offer to spirits when working with them. Can be used to cause addiction in a person.
Saffron Water:
Steep saffron into water and mix 1 part water with 1 part vodka. Use to raise winds by sprinkling it in the air, or rub on your lips before whistling and raising storms.
Rose Water:
Use for love, glamours, and beauty. Steep fresh rose petals in vodka for a period of 4 weeks, and then extract all the liquid from the petals by pressing them until they have lost their color. Cut with 0.5 part water.
Orange Blossom Water:
Use for joy, beauty, cleansing, and sunshine. Prepare in the same way as the rose water.
Lilac Water:
Use lilac water for sleep, dream magic, spirit work, and cleansing. Prepare in the same way you would prepare the other flower waters.
Apple Blossom Water:
Create this by the same manner as the three flower waters above. Use for protection, love, and beauty.
Holly Water:
Holly water is to be used to protect your family. It will prick at intruders, or unwelcomed guests. It will also allow you to always have knoledge of the safety of your family. Simply steep holly leaves in water and mix with vodka. Do not ingest this, as it is poisonous.
Composites
All Bite no Bark Water:
A powerful water used for protection of a space. Mix together storm water, hair of a black dog, dirt of a grave, the ashes of psalm 7, rose thorns, teeth of a canidae, and three holly berries. Pour around a room which you wish to protect, or water protective plants to give their produce an aggressive kick. This water will protect a space with the ferocity of a rabid dog, and will not warn before attacking.
Fiery Wall of Protection Water:
Mix together sun water with three hot peppers, red brick dust, pottasium nitrate (saltpeter), sulfur, and blackthorn pricks. Another like the above, but more passive. Attacker might suffer a rash after encountering it.
Pitch Water:
Use pitch water to stop someone from making any progress. Mix together water from a swamp, gum arabic or acacia, charcoal dust, and chapparal. It can also be used to dissorient. Fair warning, this water is hella sticky.
Fuck Off Water:
Mix together sumac, apple seeds, thorns of a blackberry, cloves and storm water. Use it to repel unwanted people.
Goodbye Lover Water:
Mix together sea water, sumac, cloves, poppy seeds, thorns of a cactus, petals of a hibiscus flower, and saltpeter. Use it to get rid of unwanted courters or lovers, or to make two people break up.
I hope you guys find this useful! Make sure to be careful with any of the potentially dangerous ingredients listed, and put these to good use! Good luck my darlings.

☾ What is moonsalt? ☽
I knew moonsalt since I was a little kid, and I had no idea that it was witchcraft. thing. Basically moonsalt = salt+ash+oil. Of course you can add wahtever you want to this is just a base.
☾ What i need to make it? ☽
★ 1 or 2 teaspoons of salt (normal or sea salt, I prefer normal)
★ piece of paper and a pen
★ some oil (I use lavender oil)
Write a sigil on the paper. I mostly use protection or balance sigil. Then burn the paper (be carefull!)
Mix ash, salt and oil and keep it safe in a tiny bottle. You can carry your moonsalt in your bag for protection or keep it in your house for balance.
☾ Why moonsalt? ☽
I was a kid when I called it like that, probably because of its colour.
☾ Moonsalt will help you to keep balance in your life and its really simple to do even for baby witches ☽
