Are you ready to see Sarah??
why would i see her? she's in outer banks
Rafe smiled slightly at Quinn's enthusiasm, but it was a genuine smile. He let her grip his hand and secured her palm between his strong fingers. As they walked, he let out a small laugh, and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm still here, so I wouldn't say so. Besides," he told her, and looked at her face. "I got great company."
quinn looked at him and smiled, she felt a slight blush creep up onto her cheeks. "are you talking about andrew?" she joked and laughed. "well, i'm actually really glad you came here. new york is so exciting, and there's always something to do and someone to hangout with."
As they walked together, side by side, Rafe turned his head slightly to look at her. He couldn't really help it but let out a small chuckle when she joked with him, and it made his facial expression soften. "I'm talking about you." He admitted quite seriously. "And I'm counting on you to show me all the things to do here."
"You got the better of him?" Rafe questioned, but it was clear he wasn't buying it. "I don't recall that happening. You sure it's not your expired weed again?"
"the only thing that is expired is your father. which, yeah, i do feel bad for sarah about it, but she's the only cameron i actually give a fuck about, since you know, she's not a sociapath."
At that insult, Rafe had to laugh. Truly, honestly laugh. While his father fooled everyone to think he died, Rafe held a different story, one he wished to hold a secret. "And you think I give a fuck about my expired father, or your condolences?" He asked him, as if he was surprised. "I'll tell you a secret - I don't care. Not even a little."
Rafe just happened to walk around down the street when he heard a feminine voice speaking. Normally he would turn around and leave to mind his business, but... his eye had already caught the sight of the woman who spoke. "You okay there?" He asked her, keeping a distance in case she wasn't interested.
"no, that man just left was boring and a mood killer." esmerelda looked at rafe. "like i wouldn't be surprised if i was the first woman he had ever spoken to in his life that wasn't his mother."
Rafe had no idea who the girl he was speaking to was, but her words made him let out a small chuckle. "What makes you think that, hm?" He asked her, raising an eyebrow.
Rafe nodded his head as a sign of thanking him, and began to follow him around. Then, he let out a small breathless laugh. "Culture shock, yeah." He agreed as they walked. "It's cool, though. There's always something to do."
"Always something to do and always people watching. It's kinda a catch 22 here, with Gossip Girl being a thing."
"Gossip Girl?" Rafe asked suddenly, after he had heard what Dean was telling him. "Who is that girl?"
Still confused about how all of this could be, Rafe dared to look up at her face. It felt like he was looking at his sister, and yet, the longer he looked - the less he felt like he was looking at Sarah. "A tour?" He asked, surprised that a girl he almost just attacked was offering him a tour. "Sure, yeah. Why not."
"You look surprised that I offered to give you a tour." Waverly said with a laugh. She walked out from the alley with Rafe and waved down a taxi. She looked at Rafe. "Come on." She said.
Even if Waverly was right, Rafe didn't have it in him to agree with her. "I'm not surprised." He stated, and his voice turned once again dry and flat. Once the taxi had arrived Rafe followed her inside and looked at her. "So, where are we going?"
"That's a good choice." Rafe commented approvingly, before taking a seat in front of her. He was more into Whiskey or Vodka, which he would make sure to order when it would be the time. For now, he focused on her face instead, which he noticed were pleasant enough to look at. "I'm Rafe Cameron. A pleasure to meet you, Elise."
"Rafe? That's a cool name but I think my friend mentioned that name before. She's new in the city and her name is Kiara." Elise commented about his name and took a sip of her drink. "Does that ring a bell? Oh and go pick your poison. It's my treat!"
At first, Rafe was smiling. He was having quite an enjoyable time with Elise and that was saying something. But his smile dropped when she mentioned someone might know him, and he even tensed when he heard it was Kiara. Without thinking twice, he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know any Kiara. Maybe she is confusing me with someone else."
"You always lie." Rafe responded, as if that was a simple fact as that. He wasn't going to let himself fall into another one of John B's traps. "What does Elise have to do with any of it?" He asked, frowning.
"Well she already fucked over Waverly and I once. She broke us up all because she was mad that her ex friend, Max Wolfe, was talking to Waverly. They weren't dating or anything, Elise is just crazy."
Rafe's frown deepened the more this guy kept talking. "I don't quite care about your drama." He cut him off sharply, to make him stop talking. "I also don't have time for any of this."
When Rafe saw the expensive wallet, he almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. JJ could barely afford his clothes, let alone have any money to put inside a fancy wallet. But what surprised him more was the different name on his ID card. "Is this your fake ID, JJ?"
Elijah laughed, still amused that Rafe was convinced he was this JJ character. "Come on." He said to him and began to walk to where he lived. "This will prove to you that I am Elijah and not JJ."
For some odd reason that Rafe couldn't quite point out, he decided to follow this man. If he was JJ - surely Rafe would be able to tell by his apartment. And if he wasn't - now he would know for sure. "If you insist." He said regardless and decided to follow him.
"What the hell..." Rafe grumbled after the tenth bipping sound of his phone. Noise was definitely something he needed to get used to - and New York seemed to have plenty of it. His legs made a sudden halt in the middle of one of the busiest streets of New York as his eyes scanned through his phone screen, making a few people bump into him, leaving a trail of bad words behind them as they continued rushing. "What are they even doing here?" His voice turned into a mumble, a faint whisper that was easily blurred in the noise. He just caught up on the most recent news - that apparently he wasn't the only one to flee Outer Banks all the way to the Big Apple. A wave of panic made his chest tighten at the mention of the heavy secret he was carrying, and just as fast as his legs had stopped, now they were moving again as he left, hoping he wouldn't run into anyone he knew. @ggstarterblog
Sarah was glad to be out of the outer banks. She just needed to get a fresh start. She needed to forget her past. She needed to get away from her family. She was now in new york and was looking around. She knew she had nowhere to stay of course. But, she would figure it out. She always did. Even if she had to sleep in the park.
She of course was not really paying attention. Until she ran into the person. She never wanted to run into. She knew that voice from anywhere. "What am I doing here? What the hell are you doing here? She knew seeing her brother was not good.
When Rafe bumped into someone, the last person he expected it to be was his sister that he was certain he left at home. In Outer Banks. According to his father's plans, only he was supposed to flee to New York. Not Sarah. But of course, Rafe was a fool to even trust Ward Cameron to begin with. Especially when it came to his precious daughter, Sarah. "Get away from me." He told her as soon as their bodies connected and detached his body from hers. "I asked you first, so answer." He commanded her, his eyes turning cold and distant.
"How about I'll let you pick?" Rafe challenged, wanting to see what she might choose. Now that he knew money wasn't an issue for her, he was curious to see the limits of her wealth.
"Alright." Ella smiled. "First, let me get a good look at you...." She walked around the older and taller male and scanned him. She could tell he was rich by his clothes and that he had good taste. Once she was standing in front of him again, she said, "We're going to Fivestory."
Liking her eyes on him, Rafe let her observe him freely. He could just as much tell that she had a good taste in luxurious items, and her choice proved just that. He let out a small smirk at her decision and extended his hand forward. "Lead the way, then."
"I'm going to have to take your word on it." Rafe replied and offered her a small smile. It wasn't hard for him to think about something beautiful in Outer Banks, and he decided right then that it was worth seeing. "I'll go with you. Lunch isn't necessary." He told her, to show her he didn't need lunch as an excuse to spend time with her.
"yay!" quinn smiled and clapped her hands together. "come on." she took his hand and began to walk with him where the tree was going to be lit up. "so, how are you liking manhattan? you sick of us loud ass yankees yet?" she joked.
After settling in in the big city, Rafe found his favorite running route in Central Park. Despite the music he was listening to while he was running, he did hear Quinn calling his name. He stopped running once he was close to her, and pulled out the earphones so he could hear her. "Hey," he said a little breathlessly. "I don't know, is it worth seeing?"
"it is! it's so beautiful." quinn said with a smile. "like think of the most beautiful thing you could think of in the outer banks, and that's what it is."she giggled. "come on, i'll even buy you lunch."
"I'm going to have to take your word on it." Rafe replied and offered her a small smile. "Never heard of that, no." Rafe responded to her question, before he proceeded to follow her steps. Judging from her appearance, this girl looked to him like she knew the type of places to go. When they eventually walked in, Rafe looked around and felt like it could be indeed, a place to his liking. "What's your favorite drink?"
"My favorite drink? Um, it depends on my mood but right now I'm craving a mojito!" Elise answered his question and gave him a smile. She gestured for him to sit and waited for the bartender to get to them so they could order. "I haven't really introduced myself properly, my name is Elise van der Woodsen. Care to tell me your name?"
Rafe couldn't help but snort at that. "Yeah, right." He said coldly. "I think the shit you're smoking makes you hallucinate."
"speaking of how much i smoke, you and your boyfriend barry still good or is he mad that i got the better of him that one time?"
"You got the better of him?" Rafe questioned, but it was clear he wasn't buying it. "I don't recall that happening. You sure it's not your expired weed again?"
"ugh, thank god he's gone. i work for the csi and i've seen some depressing shit, but he was making me depressed. i need a drink." she said. @ggstarterblog
