hi guys, i wanna address something that bothers me a lot really quick.

there’re a few paragraphs in this reply of mine from a year ago that have reposted in something made just this past december. a month ago.

i’m not going to call out the person who did this ; do not ask me for more information on them, as i won’t give you their name or any information. they know who they are. i’ve tried to reach out, sent a message simply asking that they take down what they’ve copied, but i’ve received no response. 

i’ll be transparent with you guys : it’s only been a few days since i sent that message. i sent it on december 31st. despite getting no response, it’s still an important issue and it needs to be addressed because i’m sure others have done this as well.

fan artists talk all the time about how they don’t like their work being reposted without credit, and guess what ?? it’s the same thing with prose. we’ve been taught in school since we were young that you don’t copy something down without citing your sources.

so do not steal other peoples’ prose.

using a certain style of writing is one thing, but word-for-word copying down my or anyone else’s prose is not appreciated.

i understand that the writing on this site isn’t copyrighted and it probably isn’t technically illegal to copy and paste my writing and pass it off as your own. but just like people get mad about reposting art, using peoples’ psds, copying themes or writing styles, i think i have the right to be mad about this. it would be one thing if it was linked and credited, but it isn’t.

i try to not take this site that seriously. i’m not trying to ruin anyone’s reputation here. i don’t want to start drama. but i do want to address plagiarism because i’m sure it’s happened to other people on this site because it isn’t flattering. it’s hurtful that someone can just steal something you’ve done and fool others into believing that it’s your work.

          ❝——— a wednesday ??❞   he hasn’t glanced at a clock, let alone a calendar, for quite some time now, so he’s not even sure if he’s right on that count. evidence of unbreakable focus hangs under his irises, plum discoloration peeking through tan. bruce severs himself from his project for tony’s sake. a small smile of his own blooms and he slightly arches his back, stretching muscle and bone that’s grown rigid from remaining in one position for so long. ❝ it can’t be your birthday again so soon, so. what’s the occasion ??❞

         ❝ what, have you never seen a shirtless man hiking before ? ❞ tatters of loose-fitting cloth are balled in his fist at the waist, and he’s well aware that that’s what makes his attempt at reasoning so weak. a battered brain can only do so much mere minutes after being released from a verdant grip.

‘  you wouldn’t happen to think any LESS of me if i told you i was STILL  MYSTIFIED  that you’re here? ’        conversation is made while eyeing the doctor through a screen FULL of schematics,     an upward quirk to the corner of his lips.        ‘  who  ELSE  gets to say they hung out with the BIGGEST,     JOLLIEST GREEN BEAN? ’        lofting his shoulders for an added DRAMATIC air,     tony took a step back to move around to bruce’s side of the screen.     landing his palm easily on banner’s shoulder,     fingertips allowed themselves to  CURL  &  SQUEEZE  confidently.        looking over the readings,      tony nodded his head back towards the GLOWING STICK behind them before shifting his gaze to bruce.        ‘  you enjoying this?        having this thing,     a MYSTERY,     to solve? ’     fingers slide slowly away.

instead,     they frame his chin,     thumb sliding against the bristled hairs of a GROOMED goatee.     there’s admittedly many things tony wanted to ask,     things he wanted to try,     &  he’s BARELY been in the same room with him for a FEW HOURS.        tony bit his cheek.

          ❝ think less of you ? no. i prefer this to less ... enthusiastic reactions. ❞    in recent times, bruce’s presence has been specifically molded to ensure gazes do not linger ; he’s studied what colors or clothing selections draw the most attention and changed his own appearance depending on gathered results. unless someone were looking for him, he was little more than a shadow. and if it so happened someone was seeking him out, well—— throats shredded raw by yells and speeding bullets were sure to follow.  thankfully, he doesn’t find such a response here ( though he is incredibly aware that just past the threshold to this focused lab, equivalents to soldiers march by with guns fastened to their hips ) . 

attention flits from his work to his new associate just in time to catch amusement snagging the edge of his mouth. green bean. not as bad as monster, he supposes. ❝ i’m not exactly a fan favorite right now, so. i’ll take what i can get. ❞ he finds his own lips curling, a feeble excuse for a laugh passing through at the notion of the hulk being jolly. bruce is ready to shrug it off and continue to fiddle with the screens quietly, but then tony’s palm rests on him, unhesitatingly. no worry that he’s just laid a hand on a bomb. breath catches in his throat as he glances from stark’s tanned ( relaxed ) knuckles to the scepter in question, somewhat relieved when tony’s hand recedes like the tide.

          ❝ this isn’t the only ... problem i’ve been trying to work on, but the difference between this and others is this will actually yield results. plus the tech here’s a lot better than a beat-up laptop and makeshift chemistry set. —— how’s this compare with what you’ve got to work with back home ? i’m a little behind on the times. ❞

tumultuous tides flow in sanguine streams too narrow to properly contain them, crashing against fragile skin, ready to swell at  any given moment and allow roars to burst forth in tragic song  ——— you may think him to be at peace, but how easy it is to play a part. to be the good boy who keeps quiet when confronted with a boiling visage, spewing saliva, hues ablaze. red, red everything red. passionate. angry. red like the blood on his fathers knuckles and the same from his mother splattered on the sidewalk.

                        YOU’D THINK THAT ALL HE SEES IS GREEN.

wry chuckles claw their way up his throat—— home. the notion is more foreign than the nations which he’s traversed.  

         ❝ that’s one thing we have in common, then. —— travel light. that’s my advice. ❞   an outlaw’s lifestyle calls for as little sentimental connection as possible, lest he have to uproot at a second’s notice. his quarters, noticeably unadorned, may seem unbalanced when considering the size of the room, but it’s commonplace for the good doctor. wire framed glasses are the sole thing resting atop a nightstand too nicked to be anything but secondhand ;  luxury is not part of his vocabulary. ❝ this is, uh. this is it. took all of maybe ten minutes to settle. ❞
