QUICK ANNOUNCEMENT

What is up, my fellow ragers.

I’ve been very busy lately, and since school has started, I know my time will even be more occupied. Whenever I’m busy, I end up putting this blog aside and end up with tons of asks and submissions sitting in my messages, maybe for days, maybe even for months. 

People sometimes used this blog as an outlet to vent and because I take a long time to post stories, I don’t want anyone here to think I’m ignoring them.

So as of today, September 4, I have closed the ask box and submissions for now, and I will be taking a break from posting.

I wanna thank everyone especially those who have been here since the beginning. Also those who submitted whether you gave me fifty stories or one story. If it weren’t for you guys, this blog would’ve been lame, but you guys made it less lame. 

I’ve decided to keep this blog open during this hiatus as I’ve wanted to use this blog to create a small community where you guys who dislike customers can connect with other people online or even find a way to connect in real life. Who knows, you might even use it when you’re having a bad day for a quick laugh or two.

I work at a Boys & Girls Club, which is a summer "camp" program for kids. Here, you carry a membership card, which teaches kids responsibility and you must have it with you every day. This young girl, who has a rude brother around my age, kept showing up without her membership card. I informed her that she needed to buy a new one, and her mother straight up yelled at me because she was under the impression that a new card was $25 (that's the annual membership fee). The cards are $2 because we --

have to purchase materials to make them and such. She still seemed upset when I told her it was only $2, because they "weren't planning on coming in the school year because *kids names* can't focus on their homework". So I then informed her about the tutoring program (which also takes place upon request during the summer) and the bussing program from select schools in the district. She then seemed all on board and began to speak to my supervisor, all excited. I literally hate dealing with rude parents, as I'm not even 16 yet.

I usually love my job at the petsmart petshotel but you always get the shitty little fucking kids who bang on the glass [it's like a fucking fishbowl in there with all the tile] or the asshole adults. One day I was in the bigs playroom... [c]

And there was a dog that has dual dewclaws on his back legs. At first glance they look like broken toes or something, sure But this one woman sees them and starts banging on the glass to get my attention when I am clearly breaking up a scrap [c2]

She then proceeds to tell through 2 inches of nearly soundproof glass "what's wrong with that dog?" I couldn't hear her at first because of the barking and growling so I asked her to repeat her question [we aren't allowed to not assist customers] [c3

So she yells it again. "What the Fuck is wrong with that dog?" pointing at him. So I thought ok she's just concerned so I said "he has dual dewclaws on his hind legs." to which she goes. "WHY DONT YOU HAVE THEM REMOVED?" like bitch he's not my dog.

So I work at Subway and we've got these white papers we put on the cutting board to avoid cross contamination(Because other meats, vegetables, and sauces may hit the cutting board and we don't have time to decontaminate the board) And most guests understand what their purpose is, but sometimes(And we've got a regular like this) we have guests who think the paper's supposed to come with the sandwich and I wanna be like, "Um, no, that paper's supposed to stop gross stuff contaminating your food."

Customers, just go with the flow and you’ll be just fine!

This woman returned clearance items(I'm not supposed to do that but I do a lot of shit I'm not technically supposed to at work to avoid whiny guests) today because she had looked at the best by date- it was two chocolate bars- and it was a year past. She returned a dollar worth the clearance chocolate because the best by date was a year ago. I know I'm poor and white trash but honestly none of that was worth your time and the chocolate still tastes just fine ma'am, I know personally. (1)

(2) she then proceeded to suggest no less than five times that we go through all the clearances chocolate... At our moderately busy craft store... To see if any is 'expired'. I reiterate, I know I'm poor and my standards aren't high but I don't fucking care and I'm not even going to bother to inform my manager of your displeasure ma'am. Why do you think they're clearance, in a craft store, in the first place.

This one time when I worked at Culvers I was cleaning the men's bathroom and when I lifted up the toilet seat to clean the bowl, everything under the seat was covered in blood and poop. But besides it being super gross I thought "you know, I'm not even that mad! I just hope that person went to the damn hospital!"

I used to work at wal mart and one day this guy came in at like 7 am and wanted ice, so I asked him how many bags and he said a couple, so I said okay how many is that? A couple I asked him like three more times before I said okay I'll give you three and then he goes oh no I want five like?? Also one time this guy came in and had a cart filled with Gatorades and he didn't want to put them up on the belt because they're all the same price, but we have to do it by flavor so I just needed one of

Each flavor, and he starts yelling at me saying they're all the same price it doesn't matter, and finally he puts one of each up there and I ask him how many he has of each (I couldn't see because they were all stacked on each other) and he started cussing me out saying "can't you fucking read" and other rude things, luckily his son that was with him was really nice and counted for me. Also one day this women in her 40s comes in and is buying stuff to decorate her house, and so I bag her pillows

And I tell her the total and she says in the rudest voice "put those in the cart for me" like that's not our job to put your stuff in the card, unless your old or have a disability. If she would have asked politely I wouldn't have had a problem, and after she pays she says "thank you for shopping at wal mart" and I just look at her and the bitch wouldn't leave until I said it. We DONT have to say that, I usually said have a great day and that lady was the first rude person I ever had

I work at wal mart and on the Fourth of July I was working, and it was like 8 am so we weren't to busy so I went to the bathroom and I walk in and there's a guy peeing in there with the stall open, and so I back up to make sure I didn't go to the wrong one and he says "it don't make no difference it's all the same" like honestly Idc if he uses the women's bathroom but he had he stall open and if a little kid went in there I'm sure there parent would freak. Also he was like 50 years old so creepy

People can be so freakin weird, man

This isn't a work experience just a customer one, literally everywhere I go they always get my food order wrong, I mean EVERYTIME and anywhere, and I don't order anything super hard so I'm just like wtf. But honestly I'd never freak out on someone like these people, I mean shit happens it's not a big deal, it's actually kind of funny (to me anyways) but people are just huge dicks, they act like they've never made a mistake, shit happens just be polite

I wish people would stop bringing their sick kids in to our restaurant. It honestly should be common sense but apparently not? For instance, I once served these people, there were four of them, two of them kids and two their parents, and they were all sick as fuck. Coughing everywhere, sniffling, and yet they still came to eat and had the nerve to ask me if there was anything soft on the menu. No. We are a tex mex. The softest thing we have on the menu is mashed potato and that comes with meals. If you wanted a soft easy meal, there were plenty of places around to get that. There’s at least two restaurants nearby that feature asian cuisine which include a lot of really nice soups, an indian place which serves mainly curry and rice (butter chicken and rice is super easy to eat when you have a cold), and two shopping centres where you could have gotten canned soup and EATEN AT HOME LIKE YOU’RE MEANT TO! It’s particularly bad for me to serve sick people since I’ve got low immunity and chances are if I serve their table or clear their plates I’ll catch what they have and I can get sick for possibly two to three weeks, I’m also asthmatic so any cold I do get is pretty much instantly terrible because it always fucks up my lungs and I’ve been in the ER more than once thinking I was going to need to be hospitalized due to choking on my phlegm all hours of the night. Also it’ll go through our entire staff really quick because while I’m incubating (and don’t realize I’m even sick) I’m still working and probably passing it around. AND if I’m sick for two weeks that means I can’t work till it’s over because nobody wants to be served by a sick waitress, and my job is my main source of income (aside from the measly student benefits I receive from the government) This all happened a while ago but someone came in with two kids tonight, one of which was coughing and I internally freaked out. I don’t think I’ll be getting sick this time though because it just sounded like an asthma cough from the cold. (Pray for me lol)

Cookies

Alright, in addition to my job at a Wendy's I have also been working in a Spinx Commissary this summer. The Commissary is basically where all the fruit cups, sandwiches, and cookies you get in Spinx stations are prepared. The work itself isn't so bad, and what's that you say? No customer interaction?? Sign me the fuck up! But all that glitters is not gold my friends. The hours have been murder on me. I'm in this commissary at 8 am almost every day, and then I'm at Wendy's. If I'm not at one, I'm at the other and I've turned into an angry, exhausted, perpetually salty bridge troll. So, each morning I'm already tired and angry and then I have to deal with some unsavory co-workers. In our warm room, we prepare cookies and other goods but the main thing is these cookies. They have to be bagged and labeled and OH MY GOD I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE PISSED LOOKING AT A STACK OF DELICIOUS COOKIES IN MY LIFE. These things have a total of four separate stickers on them, which doesn't sound so bad, until you realize you have hundreds of cookies to label and you're the ONLY ONE DOING THE LABELING. The woman that bags these things seems to know how to do absolutely nothing other than bag these fucking things. So I finish labeling a stack of 50 or so cookies, and there's a stack of 60 more waiting 😊😊😊. Whenever I ask her to help me, she looks at me like a deer in fucking headlights. Oh I'm sorry, you don't know how to put stickers on cookies???? Could ya at least try????? There's a multitude of other things I fucking hate about this place, but that pisses me off the most. Luckily I'm quitting in two days, and I'll get to sleep again 😂.

Had a lady get angry at me for not having peanut butter cookies at our cafe. I told her across the street, at a bakery, they sell them. She screamed that she didn't want to go across the street and proceeded to tell me I should go get them for her. I told her no, so she tried to pour her water on me. Got even angrier when I dodged, and yelled about how its bad customer service to not take all her abuse. Luckily my manager called the cops, and they got her as she was leaving. Psycho...

I didn't work at a Starbucks, but a similar Canadian chain, however; it didn't bother us. We were mostly irritated trying to get drinks out correctly and having the mistake drink given out

So I work at a zoo food court and it was an extremely busy day and I was on register. The line was backed up and we didn't have enough people so I went to make a smoothie and this guy was at the register hitting the counter. He was like "Come on buddy. We are waiting to pay for our food and you are just sitting there" and I was like I can't do anything about it. Everyone else in like understood the business, but there is always that one douchebag
