Update

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, but I'm not sure when the next chapter is going to be posted. I've been struggling to write it for the past couple of weeks. Burnout is trying to set in and I'm doing my damndest to beat it back. It does, unfortunately, mean I might be writing a little slower. I've also been dealing with something stressful irl and trying to get that organized. I'm also gonna be out of town next weekend (weekend after 4th of July), then have more family visiting the weekend after that for 10 days. Mandatory doctor and dentist visits for the kids before they start school again in August, which the youngest is starting for the first time. Summer is busy.

To be clear, I am still writing chapter 16 actively. I've got a good 5K words in scene one. But it's not finished. And I will post it when it's done. My brain is just fried at the moment with the stress of life.

I'm sorry to everyone who were looking forward to this chapter and the following chapters. I'm not putting the story on hiatus, just slowing down a little. Once Act III is complete, I'm gonna take a bit of a break to breathe and write without the stress of a deadline for a little bit.

I appreciate each and every one of you, and I miss reading your thoughts and theories on where the story is going, etc. Y'all are absolutely amazing and I appreciate all of y'all's patience as I try to get my life together and beat burnout. I WILL NOT be abandoning this story. Fuuuuck no! I love this story way too much to do that. Also, I like to torture myself by picking a long ass fic as my first fic...

Anywho! Thank you everyone again! I'll get the chapter out when it's done!

Another fanart drawn by the amazing Lean345livre! This is beautiful!! Seriously, absolutely breathtaking!! They drew Alastor protecting his past self, little Harry. But in Alastor's protection, he also confines and hides him in order to protect himself, terrified of reverting back to that little boy filled with hope, but who was nothing more than a puppet. However, Death, Lucifer, and his sisters have slowly been drawing bits of Harry out of Alastor, get him to stop hiding that side, his past, from them and himself. And now with him spending so much time with Sirius, Remus, his old friends and chosen family, Harry is beginning to peak out more and more. He's learning to find balance within himself between Harry, Alastor, and the Radio Demon—who he was, who he is, and who he will be—but still has some ways to go, I think.

Point of view: See how many sentences are written from each perspective (and make extra-sure you didn’t accidentally switch halfway through!). First, second or third - you can highlight them all in your text.

There will be a total of 22 chapters! Making it the longest Act in OLD&B! And boy are there some exciting things coming up. I'm not sure y'all are ready. 🤭

Hi, how are you? I hope you're feeling better. Will the next chapter be released next week?

Hi, I'm doing well! I'm not sick anymore, so that's been a relief for me and the fam. Chapter will likely be next Thursday. I've been fighting with it and I fear writer's block might be trying to set in, so I'm trying to keep it at bay by doing different mental exercises and taking small breaks here and there from writing. Act III is going to be coming to an end soon enough. I think I've got about 19 chapters planned, so I'm trying to also finish Act III. It's been a push and pull in my brain, but I am still writing.
