I worked at Apple for four years and almost got evicted for not being able to pay my rent, my phone got cut off and I almost had to go to a food bank several times.

Meanwhile people were lining up to pay +$1000 for a new phone. One day I helped a guy who said “Well we bought an ATV for one kid, may as well buy a MacBook for the other. The kids were like 14.

I had a client at the Genius Bar who didn’t want to pay the $50 AppleCare fee to replace his 6+ that HE broke. He eventually caved and paid with his black metal AMEX.
