The unwelcomed side comment the blond just uttered earned him a death glare from Lal. Thinking that both the sherbet and her unit will probably end up in a devastating state, she held up the infliction of damage for later.
Lal never really did apprehend how Colonnello decided to put up with her devilish and Spartan ways, not just in training, but also her attitude and how she dealt with things. She’d gotten used to and took advantage of the fear and intimidation from rookies; even some of the higher-ups themselves. No matter how strenuously some may try to deny it, she had control of them whenever she wanted.
For an added effect, Lal Mirch reached over and clicked off the light of her living room. She then settled into spot on the couch which Colonnello set aside for her, trying to find the most comfortable way she could spend the movie.
“Tch,” Heaving an agitated sigh, she let out a few harsh slaps directly upon her former student’s face. There was a limit to how annoying one can be, and Lal didn’t really fully grasp the concept of patience. Not that she needed to, the cobaltette could easily make someone submit to her bidding.
After meting out the punishment, she resolved in paying attention to the film. However, as the movie progressed, she found herself unintentionally doing some absurd actions such as stealing glances from the man beside her. The crazy thing was, when he did manage to catch her eye, Colonnello would show her his bright baby-blue eyes and that genuine smile, his features that made her have a peculiar feeling in her chest. Shaking her head in denial she would swear not to repeat it, but it had done the just opposite effect. Lal just hoped he wouldn’t see her reddish cheeks beneath the soft glow of the screen.
As was true of most of the repercussions that were dealt by the female, the slaps on his face stung. It wasn't particularly refreshing; in fact, he'd go so far as to say he could live the rest of his life without experiencing such a pain again. Yet feeling the familiar hand across his face was comforting enough. Even in the darkest of times, it reassured him that their relationship would never change, that she didn't hate him, and perhaps he found himself hoping that would hold true in the future.
There was something about hearing screams in the background, muffled by the beats of his own heart, the room illuminated only by the faint glow of the television that suppressed his usual actions. Under normal circumstances, the words "Lal, you bitch" would have left his mouth within seconds, but he found himself unable to do much more than sneaking occasional glimpses at the woman in his grasp. He was never adept at doing that, however, finding that she would catch him more than enough times staring into the two orbs that provided a sort of hope for him. Colonnello could only respond by attempting to provide that same level of comfort she did by letting a smile slip by his control every now and then. Soon enough, it seemed as if the film that was silently playing had become noise, and what really captivated him at the moment was the spartan that appeared to be trying so hard not to let her exterior austerity falter.
Taking another quick glance at Lal when he could, Colonnello noticed a faint change in the color of her face, unsure of whether it was caused by internal or external factors. Reverting his attention to the screen one last time, he silently inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm his nerves, then turned his head to lean in for a kiss, his lips that desired the touch of her's finally becoming satisfied, as his mind suddenly went blank. Everything he had wanted was happening right then and there, the wave of emotions overwhelming his senses unable to be explained by the limited capabilities of language. He could only hope that his feelings were reflected in his actions and that they were reciprocated.
The blond broke the kiss in moment's time, his eyelids parting to make way for the light blue hues that looked passionately into the eyes of the ravenette, now realizing that what he had just done may have been the biggest mistake of his life. However, there was always the chance that she felt the same way he did, especially considering there was no sign of resistance, right?
