Sonadow Week 2018

Day 1: Comfort/Injury

I’m super behind already, but I’M DOIN’ IT! Decided to combine both of the prompts for this one, though out of order haha. Also yeah, there will be inconsistencies in what is and isn’t colored. Some of these will be WIPS and hopefully finished later!

Sonic had Shadow pretty gosh darn spooked, but it was all okay in the end!

OK OK OK YO the 23rd is two days away let’s go let’s start the party!! I’ve hardly seen any celebratory Sonic stuff going around- granted I’m sure a lot of artists are waiting until the 23rd to post. Mine is hardly even started, I was struggling a lot to find inspiration which was super annoying to me since this is his 25th Anniversary! But I finally got inspired last night! The pic might be late, but I’ll at least post a WIP on the 23rd. The resolution is huge, it’s gonna be a print that I’ll likely put up for sale on Redbubble. I really want to send a print to SEGA as a gift along with a letter, but I gotta figure out how to do that. I just feel like it would give SEGA a moral boost if peeps sent them letters about how much they love the Sonic franchise!

But for now let’s talk about Sonic and everyone else! Was Sonic a part of your childhood or did the franchise come into your life later? What affect has it had on you? What’s your favorite game/story/comic/tv show/song/character, etc? Why?

If you make a post about the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, or art, or fic, anything, in relation to his 25th Anniversary celebration make sure to tag it with #Sonic’s 25th Anniversary or #Happy 25th Sonic! That way everyone and maybe even SEGA can see!

Some news!

I got a job! It's starting out as part time, but I could go full time later on. I'm very excited, nervous, but mostly just happy to have a job again! However, this does mean that I'm going to be closing commissions. I have one that I'm working on right now, but I don't think I'll be accepting more. At least not until I see what my work hours will be like (my first day is Thursday). If I don't get a lot of hours I'll probably open commissions back up, so we'll see! Having a consistent source of income (besides my fiance's job) will be a huge relief, and I'm hoping that since I will be making money, I won't feel this guilt all the time to be doing something, like commissions, to make money, and I'll be more motivated to work on personal art. Not that guilt is the only reason I do commissions, I just always feel guilty when I'm doing something my brain doesn't think is "productive enough." I have issues with feeling like things I like to do are pointless, it's probably the depression, but I'm working on it and I know deep down they aren't pointless. :) But yeah! Hopefully in my spare time from work I will be more motivated to do art! There are several projects I wanna do, including comics, fan fiction, and working on an original idea I have for a story.
