Alright after some thinking and rereading and scrolling

Here are my thoughts on the Baird Cousin Family Tree

(Also sorry for my shitty handwriting 😭; gf is for girlfriend btw)

With this, i tried to make sense of what info there is stated.

1. Lucy Gray died a long time ago and most likely didn't bare children.

2. Maude Ivory who's grave seems quite recent would align with lenore dove's mother dying in child birth. (Also i just find it cruel that the covey's youngest is already dead TT)

3. Barb Azure would most likely still be with a girl (screw homophobia) so burdock would most likely be connected on the girlfriend's side, essentially making them family despite not by blood

4. As for my previous thoughts about Maysilee grandmother, i just realized that anyone in 12 who have seen the covey perform would know about "nothing you can take from me". Additionally, it was sung in Lucy Gray's reaping so probably everyone does know about it. The fact that Maysilee knows it as a quote rather than song kinda deviates her away from the covey connection.

I mean seriously, just covey song knower doesn't necessarily mean covey member, my bad for overlooking 😅

Anyways this will be my end of rambling about the Baird connections and this will be my own truth moving forward lol HAHAHHA

Dumping my Baird thoughts (sotr ending spoiler warning!)

I hc that the covey never found Lucy Gray's body, there's no body under that grave

They must've thought she died (just like how the rest of the district thought too) and made it in honor of her life and memory

Also maude ivory's slate didn't seem that old to me based on how it was described so I also believe she might be lenore's mom

And well age wise i think it sorta makes sense, she is the youngest covey

Maude Ivory was the closest to Lucy Gray and yknow "dove gray" so yeah she named her daughter like dat (and yknow both lenore and lucy starts with an L but maybe im just being extra here hahahah)

And since the father just doesn't exist (lol) she was able to be buried covey style unlike the older baird (refer to my previous ramblings about barb azure)

i mean i know she’s into girls but yknow maybe she did out of survival cuz of the eventual emergence of homophobia in panem

and since she married into the merchant section then maybe she was buried in the general district 12 graveyard rather than along the covey in the woods
