Welcome

This is my art blog! I do primarily fantasy and character illustration. I'm trying to keep this blog pretty clean/searchable, so I tend to avoid reblogging myself.

The vast majority of my work is OC. I am eager to talk about them, but I generally feel iffy doing so unless someone is actually interested I guess. My style tends to be pretty all over the place since I love variety.

Cos() [pronouced as either Cosign or just Cos] units are the most common androids seen in Granitehelm, serving as the city's (and company's) ambassadors. Tourists visiting the upper floors will be assigned one as a tour guide to make sure they don't get lost or too rowdy. On the lower floors, they're a constant reminder the company is watching. They are functionally police and mass surveillance, and the first to be sent in to deal with "troublemakers", so that people may be given the option of surrender (either by choice or force). It's believed there's at least 360 units.

Yay, I got my fav for the redraw! Anyway, original art and time lapse under the cut.

I decided to do the HG art, since this one is especially sentimental to me since I got the Meganium starter deck with the fancy shattered glass foil. Trying to copy it really cemented to me how skilled Shin was despite it looking comparatively "simple", as they nailed a really weird angle/perspective and nailed the physicality. I'm sure someone who's played the games would know where this is, but I don't. I wound up pushing values a lot more compared to the original, mainly because I don't have lineart to separate foreground and background. This was my first time actually using the perspective rulers and time-lapse features, and since I now know time-lapse functions over multiple sessions I'll likely use it more.
