I have no words at this point about how angry this makes me. The land was a marine reserve including flamingos, dozens of sea birds, sea turtles and other species.

IT BELONGED to the people of Albania. Get it? It was NOT FOR SALE.

Then, in 2024 (when someone would become president) the minister mysteriously made it private.

The audacity of these people.

She saw “potential.” You mean another playground for the ultra-rich?

She makes it sound like she went for a little swim, like common people, and they spotted a little patch of land to put up a cottage.

That isn’t what happened.

Just like the bodies can’t be swept away in Gaza fast enough for Jared to put up a luxury resort to dance upon the dead.

These people are sick.

That feeling when Israel is buying up land and property in both of my countries 🥲.

Greece and Cyprus have been stated to be a target for Israeli "investors" and settlers, as a part of the EU it is a safe retreat from counterstrikes onto Israel from the countries it bombs. About 60% of all land and property purchases from foreigners in Greece are done by Israelis.

And on top of that recently massive amounts of public land/beaches in Vlore was sold to Israel by Albanian president Edi Rama. Barbwire fences have been put up around the beaches and land and have been closed down to the public, including one of the very few islands that Albania has.

Said island also has one of the last deltas in Europe, which is considered a reserve due to its importance for the local environment/ecosystem. And development on it has already begun, without announcement. Many trees on the fenced out land have been cut. Locals aren't allowed to go past the fence, many of whom also own property behind it and are being cut off of their land.

There has been protests, the fences were taken down once but they were reinstalled and are now being patrolled by Albania's own police.

Edit: it turns out I was wrong about a few things, first, the Israeli investors in Greece account for 40-50% of foreign land purchases, with the highest estimate I could find saying 57%

And the island of Sazan is not infact being sold, but it is unfortunately still being developed

Just another coveted place of land these billionaires want to snatch up. It belonged to the protected public lands as a reserve where hundreds of bird species migrate , including thousands of pink flamingos, as well as sea turtles to lay eggs.

But sure. Destroy it and build another billionaire luxury club for the wealthy. Again .

(Last time we didn’t receive Medicaid last year, we closed our pediatric unit, two urgent cares and cancelled our entire research study group. My dad is is alive because of research studies).

Another woman told she was “dumb” today by President.

Nice.

When asked about prices and costs in America rising to all-time highs. Then, he proceeded to say he “doesn’t care about Americans and Finances when it comes to Iran.”

There you go. They don’t care.

They never did.

They just convinced many they did to get elected and then push in all of their goals. Like, destroying protected lands, ending endangered species lists, stopping funding for medically-dependent children and adults, stopping food for the poor, stopping cancer research…..

But hey.

I’m just a “dumb” woman.

Young whales are showing up emaciated and dying on Pacific Northwest beaches every other day now. It breaks my heart.

Today Trump said he wants to make America beautiful by painting the reflecting pond blue.

Huh?

Trump is planning to drill off of California waters.

He said he had the reflecting pond color changed because “the people wanted it.”

If we did what the people actually wanted, Virginian voters wouldn’t have just been screwed today out of their redistricting map.

Btw, he called the journalist “stupid” and “a bitch” when asked about this project while we are at war and paying astronomic gas and grocery prices.

Just a normal day now in the US

I wonder what beach and what species of young whale will wash up today, taking its last breaths.
