“find 11,780 votes.”
That is what he said six years ago.
Do not gaslight me. Don’t rationalize it.
That is cheating.
Nothing they say tomorrow night or in the next six months can change that phone call we all heard with our own ears.
You can use ICE at booths (which is unconstitutional as it is voter intimidation.)
You can try to force states who vote by mail (which is a states right to conduct their voting practices as they see fit) to vote in person.
You can take away our cancer medical research to pay for a vanity arc.
You can take away our social security and Medicare (as leaked by a Mike Johnson phone call) to pay for a war we never wanted. (A war that isn’t a war even though we re-branded to Dept of War and began with the murder or dozens of school girls).
“Find me 11,780 votes.”
It’s what he said. It’s cheating. Votes have been counted, recounted and on and on. We never had any issues until a man who couldn’t stand to lose decided he would rather destroy our nation’s integrity and democracy than admit defeat graciously like McCain did, and every single candidate did before him.
So now governors can just appoint a sibling to a senator seat? A seat that is supposed to be voted for, and chosen by, the people?
Has this country completely lost is marbles.
Why are these leaders just catering to the demands and whims of a geriatric maniac?
It’s just shocking to me how rapidly we are throwing away our democracy,
The Reflecting Pool LOL
So, 5 people have been arrested for picking off paint that pealed off the reflecting pool
Because Trump decided to do the “I know a guy” type of job with supplies probably off the back of a truck LOL LOL
BUT
You attack the Capitol and people die - you get pardons
BUT
Nobody in the Epstein files has been held accountable
"You cannot begin to preserve any species of animal unless you preserve the habitat in which it dwells. Disturb or destroy that habitat and you will exterminate the species as surely as if you had shot it. So conservation means that you have to preserve forest and grassland, river and lake, even the sea itself. This is not only vital for the preservation of animal life generally, but for the future existence of man himself — a point that seems to escape many people."
Gerald Durrell, naturalist and author (7th January 1925-1995)
“Far out in the channel between Corfu and the mainland, the darkness was freckled and picked out with the lights of the fishing boats. It was as though a small section of the Milky Way had fallen into the sea. Slowly the moon edged up over the carapace of the Albanian mountains, at first red like the sun, then fading to copper, to yellow, and at last to white. The tiny wind-shimmers on the sea glittered like a thousand fish scales. The warm air, the wine, and the melancholy beauty of the night filled me with a delicious sadness. It would always be like this, I thought. The brilliant, friendly island, full of secrets, my family and my animals round me and, for good measure, our friends.”
— “Birds, Beasts and Relatives“, Gerald Durrell
« I waded into the warm shallows and then dived and swam out to cooler water. Here, if you held your breath and let yourself sink to the bottom, the soft velvety blanket of the sea momentarily stunned and crippled your ears. Then, after a moment, they became attuned to the underwater symphony. The distant throb of a boat engine, soft as a heart-beat, the gentle whisper of the sand as the sea’s movement shuffled and rearranged it and, above all, the musical clink of the pebbles on the shore’s edge.
To hear the sea at work on its great store of pebbles, rubbing and polishing them lovingly, I swam from the deep waters into the shallows. I anchored myself with a handful of multi-coloured stones, then, ducking my head below the surface, listened to the beach singing under the gentle touch of the small waves. If walnuts could sing, I reflected, they would sound like this. Scrunch, tinkle, squeak, mumble, cough (silence while the wave retreats) and then the whole thing in different keys repeated with the next wave. The sea played on the beach as though it were an instrument. »
— Gerald Durrell, Birds, Beasts and Relatives
This sounds like a 2nd grader. We are in the middle of a war, many Americans were DOGEd and many others are out of work. We have tornado, flooding and severe weather disturbances over the last few weeks across the country (including the devastation in Hawaii). Our gas prices and groceries are higher than Covid times. Lebanon is getting bombed and suffering. Ukraine is still getting attacked and suffering. We have huge decisions to make as a country water availability vs data centers, nature vs none….
And we have a president who discovered there was a “d”in dumb last month and can’t stop talking about it.
This is unbelievable.
If you didn’t think it could get worse, it can and it did.
The little boy who cried wolf
The moral of the story is that if you repeat something over and over with no evidence, nobody will believe it when it is true
In the case of “rigged elections”:
1. First of all, it is not true - California goes through the same nonsense with counting votes every freaking election
2. Second of all, people have become desensitized to cries of “rigged elections” - eyeroll is most people’s reaction now
Trump PROMISED that once he became President all those that “rigged the 2020 election” would face justice
Trump PROMISED that he would release all the evidence of the rigged election
Neither has happened
Because the 2020 election WAS NOT RIGGED
HE LOST fair and square and he knows it
Also, liberals are not the only ones who have noticed the ridiculous stance that:
When Trump wins- the election is fair
When Trump loses- the election is rigged
LOL LOL Convenient take
Many are not falling for this propaganda anymore - as seen by the polls and recent election results
good god im dying
So now that we are cutting food and vegetables from the Women and Children’s program (WIC). What exactly DOES the US stand for?
Because if certainly isn’t pro-life or about the actual teachings of Jesus.
Tank of gas vs Private islands
So, there are huge protests in Albania against the Trump family (Jared and Ivanka) buying a protected island to develop a hotel/resort.
I suppose it wouldn’t have been as big of a deal, if it wasn’t for the fact that it smells of corruption
The Albanian anti-corruption prosecution office is now investigating.
Turns out, the land protections were miraculously lifted, probably illegally, for Jared and Ivanka, shortly after Trump was inaugurated into his second term.
SHADY AF
What is even more galling is Ivanka’s recent interview about it where she sounds like a trad wife bimbo…she is anything but… so, it’s an act
She is speaking about how lovely and magical this island that they discovered is (in like the middle of Europe she is Christopher Columbus????)
And the importance of being your “authentic self” LOL LOL
GIRL PLEASE
She sounds as OUT OF TOUCH AS MARIE ANTOINETTE
People are seriously struggling to make ends meet and she is talking about buying an island in the Mediterranean (technically it is in the Adriatic, but right on the “border”)
And that prick Peter Thiel - decamping to Argentina -good fucking riddance
I have always said, ultra rich Americans don’t see the USA as their home
That’s why they don’t invest here, not because of high taxes, but because they can rob and pillage more easily somewhere else
The world is their oyster and that’s how they behave…
Also, hey MAGA, YOU are not one of them, and they don’t give a shit about a you or this country
