I can't promise anything, but again I'll ask: which YGO character + which animal to doodle them with?
Yu-Gi-Oh! as both allegorical and literal labyrinthine relationships with death and loss.
As time has gone on, I just see so much of YGO as being about coming to terms with death -- and I don't necessarily mean dying to be clear. It's broader and vaguer than that, scattershot and uneven. Just approaching the concept of death and trying to come to terms with it. Maybe it's kind of word mush to put it that way.

kaiba’s DSOD space station works great as a metaphor for how isolated/distant/disconnected he arguably feels from the rest of the world, which is excellent groundwork for why he then goes to such great lengths for the one person he feels so ferociously connected to
I can be a sucker for a story of a kid who has no friends who becomes attached to a critter.
you seriously deserve some sort type "mvp patron of the arts" award for the sheer volume of beautiful, high-concept ygo art that now exists in this world thanks to what can only be described as your impeccable taste in artists and your evident ability to work successfully with them to execute a vision. bravo!!!
You're sweet. Thank you.
I hope your day and your week can be kind to you.

A wonderful artist to work with. Thank you again.
The Ocean is Everyone's But It Is Not Yours by Dave Eggers is such a punchy little romp of a novella with a brisk pace and a sense of love for its characters. I feel like this is one to recc for people who want to read more but have had some troubles getting back into the swing of it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is just a ghost story, where people inhibit not just space and place but time, and the ghosts inside our minds that linger and how the time we're existing in will leave us and be gone.
