born 128 years ago, in far different times, both of her parents were witches and fairly proud, to say the least.
they used to be a fairly powerful family or at least for a few centuries, of course, they gained their power through fraud and investment but she hardly was aware of this until she was old enough to take note.
murder, violence...she was sure she saw too much at a young age and all it did was make her kind surprising maybe but people either break or learn. her earliest lesson in life.
she attended Arcanas via her parents, sorted into the house Nocturna and certainly investing herself both socially as well as in studying though for a few years the lack of having such made the social aspect far more interesting.
every summer it was back home to the family estate and away from the world, she liked. by the time graduation came she’d tried to escape the family business; attending college to become a teacher seemed a plausible life plan but that was put on hold when she found herself forced into the family business by her father.
yes, she saw the worst of the worst and saw all the people her parents had at their disposal but she was naive then. she wanted to escape.
she fled, being on the run would’ve been easy if not for the nagging paranoia but she coped for almost eight years and then daddy dearest found her...well, not daddy dearest as much as daddy dearests henchman.
shout out to her sire, she made a deal that day to be turned and escape her father; her end of the bargain simply entailed freeing the henchman from her family. So came the only plan she’d ever found herself 100% invested in.
she had to return to her family and take them down from the inside, reveal them to the outside world, and watch them fall.
it took time and patience but eventually, the Firas family were up in flames and she was free to pursue the life she wished. this of course eventually led her back to Arcanas to teach and she’s been doing that for 50 years.
Personality:
she is an old soul quite literally but adept to the times, she can seem shut off or uptight but that’s certainly a front; she’s a benevolent force that only wants the best for the school and the people who work/study there. she’s very much a big believer in fighting for what you believe in.
