Haven't posted in a while! Recently bought a new drawing tablet to get back into it and figured I'd do a brand new painting: Vannifar reading the Mazemind Tome. I've been just casually playing Magic: The Gathering Arena with this white-blue "lawmage" deck and Vannifar as my avatar, so that was the inspiration for this piece.

10 years of digital painting

I realized it’s been a decade since I opened Photoshop to paint for the first time. I took a break 2011-2012, I wasn’t even sure if I’d ever do a painting, coloring in drawings was more comfortable. But in 2013 I finally got my first pen tablet so it felt natural to start again. I’m glad I didn’t quit. Putting a thing like this together inspires me to continue and develop my skills.
