What is the fancanon of gakushuu? I'm just curious , what about it you dislike.

【 ♔ 】 Hello there! I’m gonna go ahead and start this off by saying that people are allowed to interpret a character however they like and I have no intention of getting in the way of that, but here’s an explanation of things I personally disagree with. Basically, the fancanon I’m talking about is what makes up a lot of his tag.

(I’m taking all of this from a realistic perspective, not the warped anime perspective everything is set in, so that may be a good thing to keep in mind. Plus some of this may be me incorrectly interpreting how other people interpret him.)

All of Shuu’s desire to win and beat his father come from a decade of abuse (which is, no matter how you look at it, just abuse). That’s not an easy this to get over and become one of the good guys after getting defeated a couple of times and seeing a different point of view–his mindset is still hella warped because of it. Sure, maybe if he’d only been at the school for a couple years, it’d be easier to, say, get over it, but it’s not that easy.

The point of that is: he’s manipulative, overachieving, and looks down on other people. While he puts up a charming act, he doesn’t make time for actual friendships (especially romantic interactions). I don’t headcanon him as ace, but I do think that unless something or someone benefits him in accomplishing his goals, he’s not the least bit interested. Maybe at some point after things have settled down and he’s gotten where he wants to be, he’ll be a bit more open. He’s not some Brooding Shoujo Prince who falls in love with the wallflower with no redeeming qualities.

Even though he wants to be a different sort of leader than his father, he still regards other people more or less as pawns. He asked Class E for help; that’s not him accepting their superiority, but using them to further his desires. He’s fine with using them as long as he’s calling the shots, but wouldn’t consider “joining their ranks” in any way. Hell, he slips up and calls the other Virtuosos his minions! Freudian slips say a lot about a person. (I understand that was supposed to be comedy relief, but Shuu’s not exactly a comedic person.)

He’s not submissive. And that’s. All I’m gonna say on that subject.

Another thing I see a lot implies that he doesn’t have a lot of restraint? He has a hell-ton of restraint though? Even when he’s angry, his responses are coldly polite (with the occasional half-insult) and not violent in any way. Even with Karma, I don’t see the situation where Shuu would just jump into violence or insulting him–maybe in self-defence if Karma started it but like. He grew up learning how to push his feelings aside and be charming. He doesn’t show much past a scowl no matter how angry he is.

There’s probably more but it’s early and this is long enough already.

stop assuming how you interpret a canon character is how an rper plays that character 2k16

being a roleplayer means you have the ability to play your favourite characters just how you see them, or sometimes even in an au sense. what’s fanon isn’t necessarily going to be how an rper plays their character! Don’t assume that just because someone’s muse is a canon character you know them, how they think, how they feel, how they act. read the bios of characters, canon or not, read the rules, talk to the muns! everyone has a different view of a character and they will play these characters different to how you see them, different to how other muns of the same muse see them. it is so frustrating when people make these assumptions. my friend wants to stop playing her character because of fanon assumptions that she doesn’t agree with keep getting pushed onto her in threads. please respect everyone’s individual portrayal of characters, if you want a fanon version of a particular character, find a mun that plays it that way.

    “Right…I’m so used to apologising to my father it’s a habit-..so if I do it a lot then that is why, I’ve been trying to break from it…sadly it kinda sticks and becomes bothersome to a lot of people.” She let out a chuckle, “anyway thank you again for this, I’ll have to pay you back sometime, okay?”

【 𝔸 】 Right, unless someone ruled by fear and brainwashing, they really wouldn’t have (complete) control over their underlings. The fact that they acted on their own only proved Gakushuu different from his father, and even though Ren’s behaviour could be more dignified, that itself could be considered a small victory.

“There is no reason for you to thank me. You’re smart enough to realise that I chose somewhere anyone from the main campus is unlikely to be.” There was, after all, no point in hiding nor denying it. They were both fully aware of the situation they were in. Still, it’d be unfortunate if another Class E student were there as well. “There’s no need for that. Consider this my repayment to you, since you did play a part in damaging the chairman’s teaching philosophy as I had asked.”

He sped up his pace a bit, but no so much that she would lag behind him. Honestly, he just wanted to get to the meaning of their encounter. What could she possibly want to discuss with him?

      “Oh-..Gak-…I mean Asano,” her hand squeezed at the males it was more of an natural reaction- she would have pulled away if it wasn’t for her ankle. “Are you okay? If how much father acted was bad…I can’t even think how the chairman acted,” honestly she didn’t Asano would answer her, why would he? “I know it isn’t my place to even say something like that..I’m sorry.”

【 𝔸 】 She pushed further than she should have. While he knew she only meant well, her remarks were starting to grate on his nerves; of course, it didn’t show in his body language. Gakushuu had learned restraint--how to mask his own feelings--from the time he was a child, so the chances of her getting a rise out of him were slim to none. Even his ‘friends’ in A-Class never mentioned how his father acted after the test results, although they also witnessed the display firsthand.

Her apologies were useless. Did she think he’d find it comforting? They hardly ever interacted, but so little as a minute was enough to reveal how different they were. Gakushuu didn’t throw his words around so carelessly even for the sake of politesse. On the other hand, she seemed to have no problem doing just that.

“I see.” That was enough about the teacher. She wouldn’t reveal anything substantial to him. “Yes, I’m okay, so you don’t need to concern yourself, Kanzaki. We’re here.” He moved so that he could open the door to the main campus. It was nearly deserted about that time of day. “It’s not that much further to the nurse’s office.” She could probably remember that on her own, but still.

So I’ve lately gotten to 100+ followers on this blog and I’d like to thank you all so much, doing these follow forever things is something I’ve tried to avoid in the past due to getting anons from people saying ‘how dare I not add them.’ If that happens always remember that doesn’t mean I don’t love the blog you have at all- Anyway either way I’d like to thank everyone for putting up with me it really means a lot, as someone who has a lot of blogs it’s been hard for me to find a place that makes me truly happy.
