Color is experiencing a lot of emotions here, a very chaotic mix of l knowing too much, but still being presented with information that changes a lot for him, of wanting to learn more but not knowing what that means. He spent so long in the void, without a story, that suddenly the change up is both exciting and a bit frightening. Dream says thereās a place he could go, but he canāt go anywhere for very long, he has to return to his void. And, although he generally likes Dreamās presence (at least a lot more than Ink), itās still one of the first people heās met and forgive him for being a bit distrusting and closed off, though he tries to act friendly.
all that combined with Dreamās aura which is overly relaxing his emotions. The second Dream leaves, the loneliness is overwhelming. Which begs the question. Is Dream just that nice of a presence to have around, or is he manipulating Colorās emotions on purpose?
Color doesnāt know. Anything could happen now, and he still doesnāt know what his place in it is meant to be. Thatās a bit nerve racking, I think. What does it mean to experience a completely different story from the one you were ripped away from?
Also, I think itās fun to see how they have yet to figure out how each other communicates compared to the later comic with them. Color is still learning all of Dreamās little quirks and Dream has no knowledge on what happened to Color to actually know how to talk to him in the most beneficial way.
Inkās getting really out voted on the whole āhow stories workā thing. Literally no one else believes that characters can just wrench themselves from a script and go interfere with others LOL. Color thinks that everything that ever happens will be intended. Dream agrees with him. But they see this in very different lights. Still, Color is jealous of Ink, isn't he? ;)
imagine being able to delude yourself into thinking characters could be anything but a character.
thereās three more people that will be brought into the mix of knowing about characters. One who hates the idea more than anything, one whoās obsessed with eliminating such a concept, and one who knows the absolute truth of it all. They all have yet to make an appearance, but feel free to take a guess. (I mean, one of them is obvious, but still)
