My first non-@taylor_toll supported 5k+ run in a while and one thing that I have learned so far through this marathon training is (just like walking) it’s just about one foot in front of the other and then watch the miles melt away behind me. Several times I wanted to stop but I kept it going because the feeling I will have when I cross the finish line in Chicago will be so worth all of the build up #roadtochicagomarathon (at Jamaica Pond)

Three years ago if you had asked me about running a marathon, I would have scoffed. Two half marathons later, I have put my hat into the Chicago marathon pool. I can’t skate by without training or this distance will eat me alive. The goal is to finish, but I also want to finish strong.
