As educators, how could we ensure that we are challenging students that are not labeled as gifted? Do you agree that everyone is gifted in their own way?

NAGC organizes advocacy efforts at the federal, state, and local levels, but needs advocates on the ground to create positive and lasting change for gifted students. What are your thoughts?
Gifted children often face an uneven and often dizzy playing field in our nation’s education system according to the National Association of Gifted Children. How should educators address this issue within their school and colleagues? Is there a solution?
The main goal I would advocate for would be school district compliance. I would like to make sure they were compliant with the regulations the state education department had established for gifted. This simply means maintaining programs we already have in place to ensure gifted and talented students are serviced effectively.
I agree that we need to uphold state regulations established for gifted education. I also agree that the environment in which we educate regular education students should also be designed so that gifted and talented students reach success too.

If you had the opportunity to advocate for gifted learners, what would be an issue that you would like advocate?
If I had the chance to advocate for gifted Learners, I would advocate on their behalf to ensure that they are being challenged in the learning environment. I would also speak with local elected officials about how students are compared across the state to determine SGP'S but all students across the state are not exposed to the same education.
